Finished my first book for the challenge, . I'm really enjoying this series. I love the historical detail and the symbolism. Although Jennifer Ikeda's narration is slow (necessitating x1.25 speed), it is also very immersing and her accents are excellent.

Just started my book #22, Vicious. I borrowed the book from the library and never had time to read it, so I just bought it on Audible. I'm enjoying it more on audio than I initially did in print.

I listened to A Discovery of Witches. I thought the book was too detailed and drawn out for my taste, however the narrator did a good job. If I had gotten it on Audible and been able to listen to it at 1.25 speed, as Lauren did, I might have enjoyed it more.

I agree Kristie. The increase in speed was essential. Harkness is a very detail oriented writer and it is all very interesting and immersing, but it can get tedious at a slow speed. I do think that the books could do with some editing but the story and characters are truly excellent.
