The geometric shapes of the windows?"
No, sorry, Sheila. To be abstract, the geometric shapes shouldn't come together to form an identifiable, naturalistic element like a window. You're looking more for things like concentric circles (or squares), blocks of color, stripes, etc. Sorry!

no problem Kristi. I am totally clueless about this task.
Sheila wrote: "no problem Kristi. I am totally clueless about this task. "Try looking for a cover that has nothing on it that you can identify by name. Chances are, that'll work... ;-)

"No, sorry, Lauren. Each one of those covers has a realistic, recognizable, real world object on it. Abstract art is more about getting away from reality. Over the next couple of days, there will probably be a lot of examples in post 2 that will work. Maybe that will help direct what you're looking for.

works.
This was harder than I was expecting! I saw pages of my TBR that haven't been glimpsed in years lolWill this one work?

The only ones that won't work are:
~ identifiable landscape (even if alien)
~ book pages
~ American flagSo, lots of choices! ;-)
Just want to be certain. You are looking for SOME design ...

Solid blocks of color (including just one color) will work. So this one's OK.
Amy wrote: "How about
?"No, sorry, the picture frame as identifiable and, for the most part, regular picture frames.

Read a book with an abstract cover design. Covers consisting of blocks of color and/or geometric shapes will work. There should be no identifiable, naturalistic elements on the cover. Ex:
Required: Include the cover when you post.
