Done, and gone.
https://www.goodreads.com/author/quot... Could someone please delete all quotes from Callum Luckett? He doesn't meet the site's notability guidelines.
Hi Librarians--can you edit this quote?“Noon, do you have any idea how madly”—he pressed his lips against the skin just behind my ear—“deeply>”—I shivered as he moved his mouth slowly down my neck—“fiercely”—he kissed the spot on my throat where my pulse beat wildly—“ridiculously> in love with you I am?”

Should be:
“Noon, do you have any idea how madly”—he pressed his lips against the skin just behind my ear—"deeply"—I shivered as he moved his mouth slowly down my neck—"fiercely"—he kissed the spot on my throat where my pulse beat wildly—"ridiculously in love with you I am?"
Thank you!
Can someone please confirm the wording and source of this quote, attributed variously to A. A. Milne or Winnie-the-Pooh:" I knew when I met you an adventure was going to happen".
or possibly "I knew when I met you a grand adventure was going to happen".

I replied to this basic question in your other posting:

Please delete this quote so I can repost it with better attritbution (plus there is a typo).https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/7804...
Or change the current attribution to simply "Albert Thibaudet" and put "(quoted in Andre Gide, Journal of the Counterfeiters)" in the body, following the quote itself.
P.S. A note to Gide's Journal of the Counterfeiters says the quote originally appeared in Thibaudet's article “The Aesthetics of the Novel” which was reprinted in his book Reflections on the Novel, so you could use the book in the citation and skip all mention of Gide.
Hi I have mistakenly uploaded the same quote twice. Could someone please delete this quote https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/7813...
and edit this
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/7813... ?
I have misspelled will in this one.

Hello, can you please edit this quote?https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/7837...
"Viso" is actually "visto" and, at the end, there's a full stop - not the colon. Sorry for the trouble and thank you.
Hi Person About to help Me !!Can you delete this quote please ?

It was added four years ago and has one like so we won't remove it.
Hi Banjomike !!Thank you for your time and for taking a look !!
But four years ago was August 2012. I joined August 2014, two years later ??!!

It does not belong to the author, though. Which means it does not meet our notability criteria.

Can someone delete this quote, please ? I have added two identical quotes by mistake. This is one of them and it can be removed. Thanks!

Hi all, here there are 2 quotes that should be linked to the novel Il nome della rosa and this author Umberto Eco, The Name of the Rose should be deleted.
Thanks.

Merged the author profile and added the book to one of the quotes. The other quote seems to be deleted or merged. There is a duplicate of that second quote: https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/7748.... Added The Name of the Rose to that quote.

Thanks Arenda!
I added a quote with a small typo. Can you please edit it?https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/sear...
Last line should read "of their place in the world - who can see and experience magic.”
Thank you!

Dear Sirs:
Please, check the following two links; they show two quotes that are almost identical, but for two different authors, and two different books!

Hello, wonderful librarians!Could someone please edit this quote? It doesn't seem to have the wording quite right: https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/3501...
According to my Kindle edition of The Well of Ascension, the proper wording is "I write these words in steel, for anything not set in metal cannot be trusted."
Thank you!

Not sure if this is the right place to address this issue, or that if it could be done, but it seems like "merging quotes" should be possible (just that I'm not aware how to do it, or that only super librarians could do it).Anyhow, this (17 likes):
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/6862866
is ALMOST identical to this (11 likes):
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/6993475
Just that the latter one has a period at the end of the sentence.

The following 3 are of the same material, but are slightly different due to where the quotes start and end; not sure if they could be counted as the same thing, though personally I think they are conveying the same thing.
The blockquote is the part featured in all 3 of the quotes:
Words give wings even to those who have been stamped upon, broken beyond all hope of repair.
73 likes (this one has "Words are everything." prior to the quote above):

The blockquote is the part featured in both of the quotes:
With the right reasons, at the right moment, even the most beaten and broken of people could rise up and reclaim themselves.

So yeah, definitely look in to the first case though; I'm pretty sure at least that one is merge-worthy. The latter two I may luck out, but still thought there'd be no harm in asking.
#136 tidied up (plus a couple of other tweaks). Leaves these:https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/6936012

Hmmm... Were the others only deleted? (I'm asking this because I do see a delete option, but it wasn't what I was looking for... The merge idea came from this line from the Librarian Manual: "Merge two quotes with over 5 adds that aren't Levenshtein similar") Like... are the "likes" not supposed to be transferred? I thought the word usage of "merge" indicates the likes would be combined... (like how on Listopia when duplicates are found, the votes would be combined to only one item). It doesn't seem so at the moment; should I wait a little longer, or is it just not going to happen?
Merging/combining quotes (for the quotes the two terms are indistinguishable, unlike for books) does move likes. However, the caching takes a day or two to update.

Thank you so much for the clarification! However, can I assume that only super librarians have the power to merge quotes? Cuz if not, I'm not sure what I'm missing... Definitely didn't see a "merge/combine" option... Only edit and then there's delete. I didn't even dare clicking the delete link to see if there's any other instructions popping up, for fear of actually deleting stuff.
There is a Combine Quotes link on the quotes page of every author. (e.g. https://www.goodreads.com/author/quot...)

Thanks again for being so helpful! I was looking at the wrong place so I never found it! Now I know what to do in the future!!

This is a known and reported issue.

Can one of you guys/gals delete the gibberish quotes that someone has posted to my author page? https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...
I reported the user who posted the "quotes" to GR support. So I left the quotes for them to see. They are usually quick to respond and clear up issues.
This quote https://www.goodreads.com/author/quot... should be split in four different quotes by:- Frida Kahlo
- Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz
- Virgil
- the last is by François de La Rochefoucauld and it's already existing https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/3667...
Thanks.

No likes, gone.
The following quotes attributed to the Buddha are not by the Buddha: This one is by Jack Kornfield, from Buddha’s Little Instruction Book (1994):
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/6699...
And so is this one:
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/3506...
And this one:
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/4111...
This one is from an English translation of “The Teaching of Buddha,” by the Bukkyõ Dendõ Kyõkai organisation:
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/1267...
This one is by Sharon Salzberg:
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/259-...
And so is this one:
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/1337...
This one is from the 12-step tradition, with no certain attribution:
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/6031...
And so is this one:
https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/1038...
If you need more than my word about the misattribution, fakebuddhaquotes.com has investigated all of these quotes and found the correct sources
If you could please correct the misattributions that would be wonderful, thank you :)

please add the book The Dispossessed to this quote: https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/7324663-he-was-clearly-aware-of-only-one-thing-his-own
also, while checking if said quote was already in the system, I found the following quote, which quite clearly does not actually come from the book, but from a review, so it should be removed: https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/7509226-why-america-is-full-of-toxic-bullshit-and-why-ambiguous
thank you!
