Please edit or correct or delete this quote. (part 5)

Thank you!

The quote is...
“The day that books lose their magic is the same day that I will stop reading and start writing.”

Neither version meets the Goodreads notable people requirement (please see the right-hand column on the Add A Quote page), so both have been removed.

Should it be edited (for subject/verb agreement) instead?

This quote is currently being attributed to Camus' The Stranger but it should be attributed to his Lyrical and Critical Essays instead, as its from the preface: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

This quote cannot be attributed to Einstein with certainty. It's earliest apparition seems to date back to 1996. See: https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Talk:Al...
Unfortunately the quote has too many likes to be corrected by a normal librarian. What do ?

Done

#776 Someone else may want to look at this one. In the meantime I have tagged it as misattributed.

And combine it with this duplicate quote: https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/7363...

If anyone has the time and inclination, there were a few other quotes from this book that inserted an extra word at the end.

I was wondering if it's possible to change the book for the following quote, since the book linked is not the correct one. Thank you!
quote: https://www.goodreads.com/work/quotes...
book that should be linked: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...

I just added 2 quotes but they appear at the WRONG author page with the same name as me at: https://www.goodreads.com/author/quot...
Can you link the quotes back to my author page quote list at: https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/list
Also appreciate it if you can assist to link my book to my author's name in the quote (I couldn't select the link to my book because it always link to the wrong book) at: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...
Thanks very much!

#781 fixed
#782 The link to the quote is broken
#783 Should all of your quotes be linked to your book? If you add a quote you have to put two spaces between your first and last name so that it will not wind up on the other person's page.

Can you assist to disambiguate "Kelvin Wong" from https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...? Thanks very much!

Hi Kelvin,
Your GR name is Kelvin Wong (two spaces between the first and last names). Extra spaces are stripped before display, but they are used to distinguish between authors with the same names. Use two spaces and the quotes will be assigned to you.

Hello,
Sorry, I didn't realize the link I submitted was broken, I apologize for the inconvenience. I believe this one is the correct one: https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/9789...
Also, I posted another quote for the same book and again it linked to the wrong book. Here's the quote: https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/9792...
The book that should be linked in both cases is this one: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
Thank you so much

So, please replace `întîă` with `întîi` and thank you!

I submitted a quote for the book "The Handmaid's Tale" by Margaret Atwood, but it has been linked to the wrong book. Is it possible to change it?

I think I may have tagged an incorrect author with this quote.
I think it should be: Dmitrii Sergeevich Likhachev.
The quote comes from this book: Reflections On Russia via a reference in Black Hundred: The Rise of the Extreme Right in Russia
They may be duplicate authors, but I don't know for sure.
Thanks.

and immediately realized there was a typo.
"Soinds" should be changed to "sounds" in the first paragraph.
By the way, why isn't there a feature for me to just edit the quote I added for a simple typo, or at least delete and resubmit? It seems like a big inefficiency to have to ask a third party to change it. Typos are so common and really should be able to be corrected by the submitter.

I changed it to "sounds."

I guess it is probably to avoid people abusing an edit feature, but librarians don't really know as we are volunteers. You can contact Goodreads staff to let them know your thoughts though:

I skipping [needs to be changed to 'skipped'] a stone on the glass-like surface of a sleepy lake this morning. And I watched the ripples roll out from the stone’s impact until their energy abated and they fell smooth as was the rest of the lake. And as they become smooth again, I thought that one of the greatest things I could ask of God would be to grant me the gift of a soul with such inner calm that it would smooth out every ripple from every stone that Satan could ever throw into it.
Your assistance with this correction would be appreciated.
