beth wrote: "Yes, same! Although I'm not doing any buddy reads, is that alright?"They don't really seem as important in this challenge as in others, so don't worry about it if you don't want to participate in one. I find buddy reads pretty exhausting myself.
Xiamera wrote: "Hi :) glad I got in just under the wire lol. Can't wait to get started."You still had a couple of days. ;) Glad to have you!
So far I have elemental assassin, chicagoland vampires and bloodlines series to catch up on and two book 1s from new series.
Same, Beth. I have a few buddy reads, but otherwise, not much planned. I will read The Walking Dead volume I have. Have to take advantage of the graphic novel rule. :)
I started with a chunky book, and need to finish one from last month, which I can still count for pages.
Thanks Christina :)I didn't think of that Abby, just about finally getting around to reading some books that have been taking up space. But thanks to that advice I found one that'll rack up 5 points in one go and as an added bonus I was actually interested in the story before I even knew it was such a long book. Yay.
Yeah, I'm reading a book over a thousand pages as well. It's a great time to get those big ones out of the way.
Holy cow, Xiamera! Did you really just finish Under the Dome in under two days?? I remember taking weeks to read that one. You're kicking butt!
Lol thanks. It felt good to read such a long book. Good books are like pringles for me...once I start I can't stop. Plus I have oodles of free time right now.
And I can't stress enough that you need to get the highest page counts! I don't want to be bossy, but I did see some books on our review thread that had much higher counts than what was posted. Look under "other editions" to see other versions of the book.

Noted Abby. Another language counts too? Can we have the scores adjusted then or has that ship sailed?
I'm flipping between two large books right now so it'll be a few days, but I'm definitely still reading.Xiamera, I saw that you read Outlander. I'm on the 6th one right now. Did you enjoy it?
I did enjoy it minus one or two parts. I don't think I'll pick up book 2 just yet, but I'll definitely read the rest for the challenge. Do they get increasingly better?

Do they get increasingly better?"I found the first one to be the best, but the rest certainly aren't bad! The first three were fantastic, and it's sort of dropped off from there, but not enough where I'd stop reading them. Have you watched the TV series yet? I think it's a great adaptation.
I kept seeing the TV series pop up but I haven't gotten around to it as yet. I didn't know at first that it was based on a novel though but when I saw it on goodreads I decided to give the book a try first. I don't know if I'll watch the series any time soon now because I tend to notice every little thing when I watch an adaptation and constantly make comparisons. So I'll have to wait until the books or not so fresh before I give the series a try.
Laura I saw that you just read Red Queen... How was it? I've been thinking about reading it but haven't really gotten around to it yet ahah

I enjoyed it a lot and now I can't wait to buy the second book.

Oh good! I might give it a try then ahah
One week left! I'm trying my hardest to finish
which is my big one for the month. But if I don't, I can still count what pages I did read.
Added my last reviews as well. I'm looking forward to the june challenge. Is anyone participating in that one? I'm going solo for that one.
