Read-a-thon #1 - It's Go Time!
date
newest »

I'm Brianna and I have a bit of a book problem. lol I have a slight addiction to Read-a-Thons, but very rarely am successful at them. I like them because I'm already reading, but it's more in a group environment (if that makes sense lol).
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next 24 hours?
I don't really have any books to choose from since I'm going for a page goal. However, I am in the middle of a couple books so it would be nice to finish them/make more progress with them.

3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
My main goal is to have fun, but overall I am going for a total number of pages. I would like to read 1,500 pages for this Read-a-Thon.
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
I almost always have snacks stacked up by me when I read. I love to snack and I love snacks while reading. My snacks of choice tend to be cheesy and salty-especially Cheez-Its!
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
I will mainly be reading at home where I always read. I have been trying to read more at work so that may be where I get chunks read as well.
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
I don't think I will be this time around, but it could change!

I'm a writer/reader. Currently living in Japan. Just finished my job, so I have plenty of downtime while I prepare to return home. I'm always up for a challenge.
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?
Going to try and finish Hearts in Atlantis and The Time Traveler's Wife. Also have a stack of on hand books at the ready.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
I plan to complete 5-7 books during this week while aiming for the highest score possible.
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
I have barely any food in the house. Did buy snacks but I've already eaten most of them.
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
Same place I've been the past two weeks: Sitting at my computer and not moving an inch.
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
I'll probably throw out a tweet every now and then, but mostly it'll be on Goodreads that I update.

I'm Emm and I'm a read-a-thon-aholic. No one gets more amped about these than I do and I love all the group participation. You guys are awesome!
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?
It's a big stack o' reads. I'm trying to read 15 books in April between this read-a-thon and another I'm participating in at the end of the month. I'm going to finish Yes Please first. Then I've got Why Not Me?Yes, My Accent Is Real: and Some Other Things I Haven't Told You, I Don't Know What You Know Me From: Confessions of a Co-Star, George, and The Jungle Book on deck. The fact that all of the library holds I had that actually became available this week were celebrity memoirs is total coincidence.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
I think I'm going to shoot for 6-7 books. That may or may not happen, but I'm sure gonna try!
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
Mmm, nope. But I'm headed to the store tomorrow and I've been craving strawberries like you wouldn't believe so I'll be grabbing some of those.
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
No, I like to roam around if I get restless. If it's nice outside, I'll probably slip out there for a spell.
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
Maybe some Tweets will crop up this week. I'm @girlvsbooks.

2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week? I plan to finish A Tale of Two Cities, and to read at least three more chapters of The Secret Garden to my little spider. I also want to progress at least a little further with some of the other books I have on the go. Plus, I plan to read another few short stories that I have listed for my AtY Reject Challenge.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)? My enthusiasm for reading varies wildly lately, so I'm aiming low at this stage - 500 pages.
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon? Nope, I'll make a cup of tea every now & then, but I'm not a big snacker when I read.
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around? I usually read anywhere, but at the moment it's mostly on the couch. Every time I see a question like this though, I long for a beautiful, squishy reading chair with lots of cushions and a blanket. Actually that makes me tired just thinking about it ... zzzzzzz. I'd probably end up falling asleep on it instead.
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us. I don't think so.

I love to read and especially love to have excuses to read more, like a read-a-thon ;)
I also like the week-long read-a-thon, since I work full-time I don't have much time to read during the week, so I can catch up during the weekend.
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?
I want to:
- finish The Husband's Secret
- read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing, because I'm in a process of moving things around the house (we're actually exchanging our bedroom and clutter-room to have more space for stuff, but I still want to declutter haha)
- read a chapter a day from The Penguin History of New Zealand
and for the rest, we'll see my mood.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
Just the books listed above. If I read more, that's good, if not, it's ok (I'm really not one to put too much pressure on myself, I already have enough at work).
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
No, but I should.
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
Mostly on my very comfy couch, but also in my bed before and after sleeping (I like reading a hour or two in my bed in weekend morning while my boyfriend sleeps (lightly snores) next to me ;) )
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
I'm maybe try a few pictures on instagram, you can find me @nemone13

I'm Jill and I like these Read-a-Thons because it makes me do more reading, than watching tv.
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?

I have one book that I want to finish, I just received one from NetGallery

3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
I want to finish the main ones that I listed above.
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
I've got my pop, coffee, lemonade and of course water for my drinks, I have some snacks, and for meals, I have a couple of quick meals that I'll fix and then on weekends we usually do left overs or if it's nice, I'll get hubby to grill out.
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
The three places that I'll be doing my reading is in my favorite chair, out on the deck if it's nice out, and in my bed. I don't know what it is about reading in bed, but that's where I get the most reading done.
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
I won't be doing any of this

I'm Lieke and I love to read :D
I'm on track for my AtY challenge, but I'm behind on a few other goals.
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?
I want to finish my current book: In the Shadow of Man by Jane Goodall.

Paaz
Halvblod
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
Enjoy my reading and read as much as possible, which might not be a lot since I work fulltime and have plans for the weekend.
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
No, but I'll go shopping tomorrow :)
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
On my couch and in bed
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
No, I already spend enough time on goodreads I need to read ;)

I'm Francesca (or Frankie) and I decided to participate as I've been falling out of the flow of reading again (those damn addictive tv shows) and I need to nudge myself back into it. I also want to make some more progress to keep myself ahead of my personal reading challenge and to try and keep up/catch up with my ATY challenge.
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?
My plan is to read a lot more of American Psycho and ideally finish it. If I don't finish it the I don't really mind, if I do then I also plan on reading Kindred Spirits and Sons of Anarchy, Volume 2. They're both fairly short reads so it'll be a bit more relaxing for me and I'll be able to catch up even more.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
Just to read as much as possible.
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
I wish I was that organised!
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
At home on the sofa and/or in bed. Also, on my bus journeys to and from work.
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
Well, I use Twitter and Instagram anyway so probably but I'm not sure how much I'll use them in the actual read-a-thon or for it.

It sounds fun. :)
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?

3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
3 and a half books
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
I have no plans to, as of the moment, but maybe I'll stock up on coffee later on.
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
In my bed, in a rocking chair on our patio, or on the go while waiting for stuff.
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
No...that will take away from my reading time. :) And I don't really do those things.

2) I have 11 books in my pile
3) hopefully 6-7 books so my reading goal can be back on track
4) I have nothing planned to eat or drink

I participated in the read-a-thon last year and it was fun, so why not again this year.
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?
I just started reading Burial Rites and The Orphan Master's Son, so I'm hoping to finish them, and if I have any more time I just borrowed Sophie's Choice and What Was She Thinking? Notes on a Scandal from the library.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
Since I have work and other things to take care of I won't be setting a high goal... Maybe 700-800 pages if I really make an effort.
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
No but I'll probably buy chocolate for the weekend.
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?

6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
No, I'm not really into all that... Must be the age!

My name is Sarah and if you ask my friends I have a slight reading problem, lol. I did one of the read-a-thons last year and had lots of fun so I thought I would give it a try again this year!
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?I want to finish up Night Film and finish listening to Bossypants. Then I have about 4 books ready to go. Burying Ariel, The Fourth Bear, Lost in a Good Book, They Do It with Mirrors. And some audio books too, A Murder Is Announced, A Pocket Full of Rye, and possibly The Haunting of Hill House.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
To finish all the books I listed above! I don't think that will happen but I would like to make a good dent in that list.
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
Nope sure haven't. I didn't think about doing that at all. lol
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
I will be doing most of my reading at work this time. And I am going to try and get some more quality reading time in at home in the evenings too!
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
Nope I sure wont be. Just my updates on here.

3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)? I want to read at least 2 hrs a day.
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon? No, I'll just eat/drink whatever is available when I get hungry/thirsty.
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around? Either in bed, in the recliner or at work during my breaks.
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us. No, don't really have time for that, lol.

I'm Alisa, from Canada and work full time. I thought it would be fun to do the Read-a-Thon.
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?
I don't have anything in particular. I have a bunch of books from the library that I thought I would try to work my way through.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
I am aiming for 11 books. I have a bit of a busier week so I am trying to do 1 book a day with 3 books on Saturday and 3 on Sunday.

2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?

Nop, I'm ahead of schedule with the challenge, so no stress :)
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
No, I'll just stick some reading between work, eat and sleep, as usual.
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
At home (couch, bed) and in the garden this weekend if it's sunny.
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.

I didn't really plan anything, but I think I'm about to start The Crucible.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
My goal is to read at least 20 pages a day. I typically don't read for days, and then randomly read a lot. So my goal is to be consistent every day.

No I haven't!

6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
I don't use twitter (just never got into it), but I don't think I'll be instagramming- that's dedicated to food and my doggies :)

2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week? This week I hope to read: The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, and maybe To Kill a Mockingbird but a have some I'm just finishing that need to come first.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)? To hopefully at least read 5 books.
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon? Lots of tea - any kind!
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around? I tend to read in bed. I don't sleep well, so reading passes the time.
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us. Nope - just don't really do any of them

I was wondering the same thing as to how people could read at work.

1. Tell us a little about yourself and why you decided to participate in the Read-a-Thon.
I am a software developer, work part-time, have two teenage daughters. Have issues with fatigue so I read in bed a lot.
I'll read anyway, and participating in the games is fun!
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?
Wolf Hall - wanted to read for ages but some book club/group book always gets in front of it. No more!!!
Great Expectations
Dragonflight - my daughter's favorite series!
The Graveyard Book
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
No, just normal reading schedule, which is quite a bit. If anything, I need to cut back - but after the read-a-thon :)
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
No.
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
In bed mostly - my back hurts if I sit up long. Some at the kitchen table and couch.
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
No. I don't use them. I only post here!

Nice. It's not the usual genre that I read, but my dad recommended it, plus I plan to go to Singapore for vacation soon. I think finishing the book will let me appreciate the country more.

I read during the lull times at meetings, like when the projector's still being set up, or the speaker's looking for their powerpoint. I only get in less than a page at a time, but it's something.

But I'm off this week! Yay! So I'm hoping to get more reading in than normal. :)

I'm Rachel, and I've always loved to read. I've been using reading challenges over the past two years to motivate myself to read more, and to read outside my comfort zone a little more. It's really helped me discover some great books and authors I may never have tried otherwise! I decided to do this read-a-thon just for fun, so I'm not too worried about how much I read. I'm glad it's a week-long one instead of just one day though.
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?
I have a pretty busy week/weekend coming up, but this is what I have in mind:
1) Finish Mary Poppins, which I started last night
2) Claudia and Mean Janine
3) Goodnight Tweetheart
4) At least start The Cuckoo's Calling
I have 4 or 5 other books from the library which I can throw in there on the very slight chance I finish all of those quickly.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
Not really, I'm just trying it out for fun.
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
Not really, since I don't really see how this will change my week very much. In any case, I don't really drink anything or snack on anything specific while reading and definitely not when I have the book in front of me. Smudging Harry Potter with chocolate years ago put me off eating while reading. If anything, I take a break and eat somewhere else.
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
My room, usually.
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
I don't really use Twitter or Instagram, and I'm not comfortable enough in front of a camera to ever try vlogging. I have sometimes considered blogging my reading challenges, but haven't committed to actually starting a blog yet. I just post my progress on here, and on Facebook.

I am retired and love to read. Since joining Goodreads in April of 2014, I have finished about 300 books. I love a challenge so am anxious to participate
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?
Singing for Freedom: The Hutchinson Family Singers and the Nineteenth-Century Culture of Reform
The Trail of the Lonesome Pine
The Tilted World
A Mountain of Crumbs
Interpreter of Maladies
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
Finish the N's and the third row
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
Good question, but , no
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
On the couch, in bed, and between rounds at duplicate bridge
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
My books complete will go to Facebook.

We can have days where there isn't much to do, but it's mostly in the winter time. Then I sometimes have time to read while I'm at work. But I work in a small department with six people, and I'm one of three how does the same job, but today one is on holiday and one has a sick kid, so I don't think I'll have much time for the read-a-thon till I'm off!

My name is Veronica and I'm from the United States. This is my first readathon and I'm excited to participate! I like the weeklong format because Saturday is a regular workday so that made it difficult to get involved. Also, I play way too much on my phone and need to catch up on the challenge!
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week? I'm about halfway through The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend. I also hope to get through Silas Marner and Pilgrim's Progress.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
I would like to read at least 500 pages during this week.
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
Not really, i will snack on whatever sounds good at the moment. My usual snack is chips or candy. So healthy, I know lol
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
I usual read on the couch but probably so e at work dsuring my break and anywhere else i can squeze some time in.
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
I don't blog or vlog and rarely tweet. I might post a pic on my instagram which is @vpalacios13 and update my progress on here.

I'm Aglaea, in my late 30's, from Finland. Ever since I learned to read as a 5yo or so, I've been reading, sometimes more and sometimes less (uni years for instance sucked all bookish energy out of me in regards to leisure reading). I have quite a long list of Currently Reading books and want to make a smaller dent in it. There's also The Rejects to think of alongside 52 Books. The main reason is that I want to establish a bedtime-reading routine, because it winds me down nicely after a long day.
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?
I have no specific requirements apart from the categories mentioned in 1. Will read whatever I feel like.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
"More" is the only wish. And the bedtime routine.
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
Nope, I have a busy schedule which will cause me to move across the city several times, so it's best to read at home in the evening.
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
Sofa or bed.
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
No, just reviews and group comments here.

I work at a small call center so in my down time while I wait for calls I can read. Work is actually where I do most of my reading now a days, it's great!
1. Tell us a little about yourself and why you decided to participate in the Read-a-Thon.
I'm Laura, I live in Boston right now but I'm preparing to move back to my home state of Ohio after I graduate from grad school in May. I'm a social worker, working with at-risk teens in a middle/high school. I love my work but it is very stressful to I love to take a break through reading. One of the perks of working in a public school means spring break though! So I'm off tomorrow (Friday) through net week. So plenty of time for reading and general life catch-up :)
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?
I would love to finish the ones I'm currently reading:
Faithful Place
Zoo Story: Life in the Garden of Captives
Then I think I'll start on the ones that just came through from the library:
The Lake House
The Man in the High Castle
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
If I could finish the ones I'm currently reading, along with The Lake House, and then start The Man in the High Castle then I would be completely satisfied. I may throw in a short story or two.
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
I don't usually eat or drink while I read.
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
I don't have very many options in my little studio apartment so I usually just stick to my reclining sofa.
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
No, just my GR/group updates.

2. Royal Wedding, Fangirl and the 12 Doctors 12 Stories collection.
3. My goal is to read everyday, with that I will probably be able to finish a couple of books.
4. Not really
5. I usually read in my room or in the living room. I only read outside if it's not too hot.
6. Not for now.

2. The Life of Alexander the Great, The White, and Wide Sargasso Sea (stretch goal: The Rookie: A Season with Sidney Crosby and the New NHL).
3. Just to finish the 3 books I've picked out!
4. Nope. Maybe I should have!
5. At home; at the laundromat; maybe at a park, if it's nice enough.
6. Nope.

I'm Emily and I'm a 25-year-old library science student who loves to read more than anything else! (Including looking for jobs! Oops!)
I'm participating just to perhaps meet new people in the group.
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?
I want to finish Longbourn and then start (and maybe finish) The Cuckoo's Calling.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
Not really, I just want to read a lot and have fun!
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
Not yet, but I need to go to the store Saturday so I'll get myself a little readathon treat!
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around?
I read a lot of different places--outside on the porch if it's nice, a chair in the living room, and a couch in one of the upstairs bedrooms.
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.
I'll probably just update on GR.

I'm new here and I think this will be so much fun!
1. Tell us a little about yourself and why you decided to participate in the Read-a-Thon.
My name is Paula, I'm from Chile (South America) I'm 25. And I've been an avid reader since I was 11, thanks to my mom who made me read

I'm almost always reading, but I found interesting this dynamic, that we're all reading along and can share our thoughts and experiences with the books we read this week.
As probably you can tell, english isn't my first language, so I apologize if my grammar isn't always the best =S.
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?
Right now I'm reading

Finally I hope to start a new book this weekend, but I haven't chose it yet.

I'm Erica, a Canadian expat in Hainan, China. I teach Grade 1 and have an almost 8 month old baby, so I don't have a ton of time to read, but I usually read for an hour or two after the baby falls asleep at night. I'm a couple days late joining the read-a-thon too, oops!
2. What books do you have in your "to be read" pile for the next week?
I just started My Life on the Road and The Cuckoo's Calling, I'm reading The Wind in the Willows to the baby, and I'm also slowly working my way through 100 Years of The Best American Short Stories during breaks at work. If I finish the first 2 I might start The Dark Forest.
3. Do you have any goals for the read-a-thon (i.e. number of books, number of pages, number of hours, etc.)?
Not really. Just to read whenever I get a chance. Maybe 2 books.
4. Have you made any meals, prepared any snacks, or stocked up on any drinks to tide you over through the read-a-thon?
No, but my in-laws cook most of our meals, so I'm already super lucky :)
5. Where will you be doing your reading? Do you have a special spot picked out or will you be roaming around? Mostly in bed snuggling my baby at night.
6. Will you be Tweeting, Instagramming, Vlogging, or Blogging through the event? If so, share your links with us.

I would like to thank you for adding another book to my TBR list! I think I will have to go out and buy Doctor Who: 12 Doctors, 12 Stories. Have you read Doctor Who: Time Lord Fairy Tales? It is also on my TBR list for this year.
