Review: This was a great conclusion to a wonderful space opera series. In the previous book Moon was trying to focus on too many different characters. In this one she pulled her focus back to the characters we have come to love throughout this series, and she did what Moon does best - she told an epic, character-driven saga!

Review: The first in a series which traces the lives of Amish farmer Abram’s daughters. This book is about the two older girls, Sadie the oldest sews her wild oats a bit too well and ends up pregnant, Abram expects second daughter Leah to marry the neighbour’s son but she has her eye on Jonas. The two stories intertwine until … no conclusion happens! Left hanging, you have to read the next book to see what happens next. A sweet Christian read – but not enough to convince me to read the next one

This is not a genre - YA or YA-MM - that I usually choose to read. I don't really like YA and I am uncomfortable with YA-MM for personal reasons. However, I recognize this book as being well written and a story that has something to say. I didn't NOT enjoy it and it had it's funny moments but I can't say that I am happy I read it. Or maybe I am because it makes me think about things I don't want to think about which is the point, right? Anyway, I read it, it's done and I'm moving on.

I enjoyed this mostly because it was a hockey book. There was a lot of telling/explaining rather than showing/doing in this book. Not enough to get tedious but there were times where I wanted to tell the author just let us 'see' the characters feeling what you are telling me they feel. But overall an enjoyable read. I'll read the next one only because the author teased it enough that I want to see what happens.

Very satisfying category romance with some very yummy smexy!! At first I had a little trouble connecting with the h, she seemed to be contradicting even herself in her reasons for not wanting a relationship and she was kind of bitchy about it. But things smoothed out about a quarter the way through and I enjoyed their sexcapades and developing feelings for each other. The H was supposedly a football (american) quarterback in free agency. The author didn't do her research very well so that kind threw me a couple of times, but then it wasn't really big things. Only something a real football fan might pick up on, one who pays too much attention to stuff off the field and watches too much ESPN... anyway, I feel like there's one more story to the series but it's been 2 years, so I don't suppose it's happening.

An okay read. The heroine was a little wimpy/whiny for me. And the insta-love was a little too insta but one you accepted that part, the rest of the relationship development was okay. I like the secondary romance better, those characters were more vibrant/lively. All in all, just okay. I'll keep at the series just to finish it but I'm not dying to get to the next one. Just read them as they fit for challenges, I guess :-P

I had gotten away from this series and forgotten how much I liked it. The heroine was hard for me to like at first not because of her 'bitchy' personality but because she was not going the tell the H she was pregnant with his child. Her reasons were bogus and she eventually admitted she was wrong. She also eventually made me like her. The H was a perfect bumbling alpha. I felt bad for him every time he put his foot into his mouth, This was a really fun read and I look forward to reading the related series by this author.

This book was kind of all over the place. I like the hero but not the heroine so much. She was so back and forth over her feelings that she had me feeling whip-lashed. She treated the H kind of bitchy then got bitchy herself when he would get angry. The storyline of second chance romance worked and I really liked how the H owned up to his mistake in the past. What I didn't like was the h not really owning her own feelings in the present. The smexy scenes were yummy, though! I'll read the 3rd just to finish it out.

How It Fits: 4tags
Review: This was a slight diversion from the usual books in the series. Agatha has gone to Wyckhadden to recover from the ordeal of her previous exploits and soon finds herself wrapped up in not one but two murders. Agatha spends much of the time feeling sorry for herself and trying to prove to herself that she isn't ready to be pensioned off. The murders seem to take a back seat in this book and it tends to focus on Agatha's love life with 4 men vying for her affections, but Agatha rationale inevitably ends up with her making the wrong choices. Hopefully the next in the series will see a return to the format of the earlier books.

I think this is my favorite of the series so far. There were several LOL moments which always makes things fun! I loved this heroine. She wasn't particularly bad-ass but she was strong and self-aware, didn't take crap from people but she was still open and loving to others. The hero was less open. Or, rather, he wanted to be less open but he was built to be a care taker. He acted like it was duty but it was also out of love. It was sort of fun to watch him go through accepting who he is and where his place in the world was going to be. The kidnapping plot was a little meh, but it worked for the story so I'll give it a pass. Overall quite good and I look forward to Mia's book.

Book 2: Baby, Come Home - Stephanie Bond
How it fits: tagged at least 2 times

Review:
I spent most of this book resenting the heroine. It was a secret baby trope which I detest. In my opinion, there is no justification for not telling a man you are having his child unless your life is in danger from said man. What disappointed me even more was that she never admitted that she was wrong. There were times where she felt bad, had moments of regret, but she never felt she was fundamentally wrong to not tell the father about his child. For 12 years. On top of that, her reasons for doing so were almost solely based on her own insecurities. Ack! And then the author went on to have almost everyone around her, including the child's paternal grandmother, give her a pass. Even the father eventually admitted that maybe she was a little bit justified. Oh that made me mad. So we got our HEA but the heroine never admitted that keeping the child from the fatehr was worng, never talked through her insecurities and issues with the hero and never once considered what his fears and concerns might have been at the time of their break-up. Ugh. I've never given Stephanie Bond a 2 star but this one made me mad. I don't think she did her hero any favors in the story and only served to make a whiny self-centered heroine even more so.

Review:
I have a book hangover. This book surely puts your emotions through the ringer. I was all over the place getting angry with and then rooting for each on of the MCs at different points. The love triangle seemed impossible to solve. And really it was impossible to solve without pain but it was also entirely possible to solve because these characters all loved each other and no pain was going to be too great to sacrifice for another. This book was quite long and a bit more than 3/4 the way through when it was clear how things were going to end up, I wondered why we needed to keep the story going. But as I was reading through to the end, I realized it was necessary and perfect. There was so much pain due to the triangle throughout much of the book that we really needed to see how the characters were able to live and love through the results. It allowed the reader to be as much at peace with the outcomes as the characters. Each book in this series gets better and better. I can't wait for the next one.

A very excellent read! I am still loving this series. I loved the dynamic between Grace and Logan - there were some truly LOL moments between them and I loved watching their relationship develop. I liked that there was a sense of fun in this NA and that the angst was kept to a minimum. This was the end of the series and while a good mystery book, I was a little disappointed. I'm a romance girl at heart and I wanted our MC to have at least an HFN if not an HEA but we didn't get that. That's not to say Izzy wasn't in a good place at the end of the series - she was. She absolutely was. She was finally comfortable in her own skin and in her place in the world. But I think learning how to sustain a romantic relationship, or at least the opportunity for her to do so, would have been even more evidence of her overall growth. Ah well, still a great series and this book did otherwise tie up and end the series nicely.

I'm not a fan of boxing/MMA (only because it's hard for me to watch people getting the sh** beat of themselves (I close my eyes in a lot of action movies too), not because I'm against the sports) so I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this book based on the hero being an MMA fighter. But while he was a fighter and athlete, the fighting itself was not a focus of their story, so it was a very enjoyable read for me. It was a loose Cinderella re-telling but also had references to The Princess Bride, so definitely didn't hold strictly to the fairy-tale! It was a fun read and I like how the friends to lovers trope played out. A little predictably but not completely. And the ending was quite satisfactory! I'll be happy to continue the series.

I really liked this - obviously with 5 stars. I like a lot of books and give out 4 stars pretty easily but not so much with the 5 stars. I have to LOVE the book but also not feel that one thing, no matter how small, would/could have been different. And that holds with this book. I wouldn't change a thing. I loved the chemistry between the MCs. It was pretty close to insta-love but the way the author built it, it didn't feel rushed or forced. I could feel the emotional connection between the characters. I loved the community as well and I found the h's job/career interesting. Looking forward to the next one.

This was very good if a little predictable. Well, you knew something had caused Vincent a lot of pain in his past but you don't know what and I'll admit I didn't actually guess exactly what until the author intended me to, so that was good. Review: The second book in the Across the Universe trilogy is even better than the first. The spaceship's population has been taken off the drug that has allowed them to be controlled for generations and there is a new, but reluctant, leader. It is obvious to Elder and Amy that the spaceship is failing and hope for ever reaching their destination is lost. Day by day violence is breaking out and revolution is in the air. Amy finds a letter for her that starts her on a hunt for clues that may just get them off the spaceship and onto the planet. There is a lot of growth in Elder - he has been thrust into a leadership position he is not ready for and despite a tentative start he grows into the position of leader. Amy is a little bit whiny - oh ok she is very whiny - but even she starts to mature and accepts she is not going to get her way all the time. There is no denying her bravery though. Looking forwards to the final book in the series.

Review: Cold-hearted rake had it all - fun, romance and a really good story. Both Devon and Kathleen came alive on the pages for me - as too did the minor characters of Weton, Helen and the twins. The two MC's both grew as characters- neither were in the same place as they were in the start. The best thing about finishing this story was the knowledge that there is one more to read - and another one scheduled to come out next year. As there are 3 more girls to find their HEA - and a guy - I hope there are going to be at least 2 more books after that. I will certainly put them all on my wish list!
Book 3 read: Clean Sweep by Ilona Andrews - 4★’s

Review: I really, really enjoyed this story. A blend of Science Fiction, paranormal and fantasy - we have space travel, neutral territories that are cunningly disguised as bed and breakfasts - werewolves and vampires. Something is killing dogs in Dina's neighbourhood and she needs to stop it quickly before people become alerted to the fact that she is not as she seems - neither is her bed and breakfast. The local werewolf arrives to help/take over and then vampires arrive shortly after. Gradually what is doing the killing and why is revealed. Now it has to be stopped. Lots of laughter and edge of the seat conflicts. I loved it and will certainly read more.

I think that was for a community chest/Chance card that had been taken so she had to reroll - is my understanding you still have to read a single book for the property you own
