You like Russian novels?

Oh, yes! Love them. Especially Dostoevsky, who is a god among insects. One of my favorite classes that I took in grad school was on the Russian novel. That's probably the reason the main characters' culture in the Madness Method books is inspired by late 1800's, early 1900's Russia. :-)
(Heh, I was studying politics in grad school, and when I wrote my term paper for the Russian Novel class, my professor, a wonderful old southern lady, told me she never gave A+'s on papers...and what was my discipline again? When I told her politics she laughed and said, "Well, I've certainly never given an A+ to a politics student before!" LOL That was one of my proudest moments, needless to say.;)

I've just stared a book from a dog's POV in a series my son likes, it's

Just read Neil Gaiman's The Graveyard Book, which is in all honesty the first Gaiman book I've read. I really loved it! I'll definitely be reading more of his books in the future.

I also read Through to You by Lauren Barnholdt which is a contemporary YA book... it was unimpressive. So hopefully I pick up a reaaaally good book next.

Trollhunters - really enjoyed this!!
How to Speak Dolphin - pretty good
Saint Anything - (have to admit - my first Dessen book) - really good
Boys in the Boat - ya edition - really good
The School for Good and Evil (#1) - not as good as I thought it would be :(
Now reading:
Stitching Snow
The Thing About Jellyfish

Reading The Orphan Queen next while still savoring Red Seas Under Red Skies.

I agree with your assessment. I love the characters and hanging out. And lol about the comparison with Jonny Depp XDD

LJ, first Dessen book? :O :O Go with Just Listen next. Still to this day my favourite of hers.
So, haven't forgotten about you guys. I'm just lazy and Netflix. But I haven been reading, of course. Most recently I binged The Winner's Trilogy. Overall the series is a 4* for me.
For those wondering, I'd say The Winner's Kiss is my least favourite of the trilogy. I did really like it. But... I found it to long. I've had a problem with pacing throughout all the books, and this was no different. I can't say much without spoiling anything, but Kestral's character arc was disappointing. I felt like Rutkoski introduced a new problem/obstacle because she didn't know how to wrap up what she'd already started in the previous books. That's kind of vague, but when you guys read it I would love to discuss!
I have too many books on the go. Right now I've actively reading

But I'm also reading a story from

Will do! I'm trying to read a bit each night. So far I'm halfway done with Book 2. I hope to get it finished by this weekend.
