Catherine Bruno | 771 comments Starting Restore Me. Already looked at the spoilers since I’m seeing Tahereh Mafi tonight at Barnes and Noble and know that I’m not going to be done with it by then and that way I won’t have spoilers tonight. Still reading it because the spoilers just made me even more intrigued.

Okay Karen and David, let's just do it! We haven't done a buddy read in a long time! I set up a thread!

I will try and start this weekend, but I'm going to be away at my scrapbook retreat, so I won't be reading much :) So excited!

Everyone else is welcome to join in too!

I finished The Cold Is in Her Bones by Peternelle van Arsdale and really liked it. It had a very dark fairy tale kind of vibe.

Last weekend was a graphic novel readathon on one of my groups, so I read: Snow White A Graphic Novel by Matt Phelan Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll Cinderella, or The Little Glass Slipper by Charles Perrault Descender, Vol. 1 Tin Stars by Jeff Lemire Aquaman, Volume 3 Throne of Atlantis by Geoff Johns

Enjoyed them all, but especially Descender! Really good space Sci_Fi!

Right now I'm reading Hunted by Meagan Spooner which is taking me forever, although I'm enjoying it. Its just very slow.

Also started A Curious Beginning (Veronica Speedwell, #1) by Deanna Raybourn I've been wanting to read this series forever. So far I really like it, its very witty and fun!

And I guess I'll be starting One Word Kill (Impossible Times, #1) by Mark Lawrence ;)

message 4318: by Elora (new)

Elora Mitchell | 449 comments I’m so glad you guys mentioned One Word Kill. I was going to pass on it because I wasn’t familiar with the author. But I picked it up and hopefully will be starting it soon.
Currently reading The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle which is really cool in its execution, but I find I’m lost—a good thing for a mystery, I guess.
Also reading Paperback Crush, a non-fic about 80s and 90s serial teen books. It’s definitely a trip down memory lane. ☺️
Oh wait! Did I just age myself!?? 😂😂

If I like it, I might bring it with me to get signed.

Christine Hatfield (christinesbookshelves) | 4100 comments Victoria how was that book called Changes by Jim Butcher?

message 4328: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 4472 comments Christine wrote: "Victoria how was that book called Changes by Jim Butcher?"

Really great. The only fault in it was the ending was a serious cliffhanger, which I hate. Other than that, it was awesome! I'm now reading the next book in the series.

If you haven't read any of it, you might like the Dresden Files series, actually. It's a mystery series with wizards and other paranormal elements.

I'm really enjoying The Near Witch. It makes me sad that it went out of print and I couldn't have started my love for everything V.E. Schwab with this one. I'm glad they brought it back.
