Review: I had a love/hate relationship with this book. Many of the parts were laugh out loud funny, but it also really annoyed me. I do enjoy humor in fantasy, but this was just so over the top. I don't think I want to read the rest of the series, but I'm glad I gave it a try.
Just one more book to go to complete my rent. I will probably read the next Harry Potter.

Review: I didn't think it possible, but this series is actually getting even more depressing as it goes on. Still want to strangle every single adult for being that stupid and/or cruel. Gyah! It's somewhat frustrating to read these at this point, because the only characters I don't hate are Violet, Klaus, and Sunny. I'm going to keep going for now, but I'm not sure if I'll make it through all 13. Those poor abused, neglected kids. And even worse than Count Olaf is Mr. Poe, gladly sending them into danger every book, scolding them for pointing out that it's obviously Count Olaf, and then scolding them again for not telling him sooner when they discover that it is Count Olaf in the end of each book (even though they already told him, usually repeatedly). At this point, I blame him more than the Count for all the childrens' suffering. *sighs*
So, I'll go roll my dice now for this week's book, and put that into my next post so it'll be easier to keep track of.

Gosh I know what you mean about life :p Mine's all like 'Maddie, you're seeing your boyfriend this weekend, so no reading time. Maddie, you're working this weekend, so no boyfriend or reading time. Maddie, you have uni today, so no reading time. Maddie, you have uni homework and assignments to do, so no reading time. Maddie, you gotta help your mum, and you've gotta watch tv, and you've gotta blah blah blah blah'.
And yeah, I've got some challenges that are totally on the back seat just because none of the books I've planned on reading fit the requirements.

This one is a reread for me. And of course I loved it! I hated angsty Harry, and Umbridge of course...but this series is amazing. And they keep getting better! I can read these again and again.

This one is another reread for me! Been awhile since I last read it. I really loved the whole take on the vampire thing in this one. Such a different view of it, and I love the whole magick thing added to it all. I need to continue reading these books, because I never finished this series! Looks like I'm going to be doing that soon!

Review: Such a great start to a series! I love the characters, especially Mercy. She's determined and tough & I love her walker abilities. I'm definitely reading book 2!
:( I started out unlucky. That dang Income Tax! But I think this one is going to take me awhile. There are a surprising amount of good books on this DNF shelf, though. So I guess it depends on what I need to get to for my other challenges.

I hated Dominic through most of the book. He was to arrogant, possessive and violent for me. I did like Bronagh and Brannna they were so feisty. I will probably continue on with the series

We are playing it that if 2 people land on the same space & the I've finished the tasks to own first, the other player doesn't pay rent THAT turn, right? I feel like that happened with Maya & Maddie early on.

Just found out over in the Monopoly player discussion thread that the books don't have to be on the first 100 pages of the list, it just has to be on the list, period. Suddenly, this game became a LOT less complicated and hard for me. Yays! (though I now wish I hadn't wasted so many hours scouring through the lists each time, trying to find anything that I actually wanted to read that was on the first 100 pages)

This one was really good. Loved it. Stephen King is brilliant, and this one lived up to my expectations. It was creepy and awesome, and I loved it. I have never seen the movie adaptation of this one, but I think I'm going to have to now.

Almost finished with my first book for Ventor Avenue (Howl's Moving Castle). I'd be reading right now if I wasn't currently in a stand off with a spider on the window sill by my arm chair (I really want the spider to crawl to a spot where I could easily squish it, but it just doesn't want to cooperate for some reason).

Review: Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! It was so different from the movie in so many ways, yet it still managed to be equally as awesome (and considering the movie is one of my absolute favorite movies, period, that's saying something). I plowed through over 250 pages in one go because I just couldn't put it down. And I immediately requested the second book from the library. I loved the writing, and the setting, and all the characters (and I definitely liked where the black knob on the door went way better in the book than the movie version). It was by and far one of my favorite books to have read. Five+ stars. ^_^

Review: I don't think I enjoyed it as much as the first time I read it, but I really do like it. I thought the main character Chloe was annoying at times, and I thought it was unbelievable when (view spoiler) But I thought Tori was totally messed up, going around thinking she's so awesome. I wonder what (view spoiler) I also couldn't remember that (view spoiler) I need to re-read the rest of the series too.
I'm still working on mine...will be done with my first one before too long :-)
Awesome :) I'll be reading my second in a few days.

Absolutely loved this one. Super cute story, amazing characters. Loved Caymen's humor, and Xander was cute! Nice little romance. And I didn't mind the doll store...even though I think porcelain dolls are super creepy...

Snacks and sofas are being offered at other hotels, so to you, Amanda, I offer kitties and Netflix. That work? And snacks, too, because I want some as well. Pico de gallo and chips sound good? Cuz I would trade a lot right now for some good quality pico de gallo (I had a friend who's mom used to make it from scratch and it was quite possibly the best tasting thing ever).
I'll take the kitties, Netflix, and chips...but I hate pico de gallo. :P I'm not a tomato fan, really.I'll just take a spot on the floor and settle in. :)
We have an extra bed, if you're not one of those fussy people that requires a mattress as well. ^_^ And I can, since it's the internet, offer ice cream in any flavor, as well as cookies and candy (because my favorite foods mark me at about 5 years old).
