Book Read:

Date: 4/17/16
Rating: 3 stars
How it fits: one first page of re-read list, shelved 267 times as re-read
Review: I had a love/hate relationship with this book. Many of the parts were laugh out loud funny, but it also really annoyed me. I do enjoy humor in fantasy, but this was just so over the top. I don't think I want to read the rest of the series, but I'm glad I gave it a try.
Just one more book to go to complete my rent. I will probably read the next Harry Potter.

VampAmber Owns Indiana Avenue
Read: The Miserable Mill by Lemony Snickett (page 46 of the 5 Stars shelf)
Review: I didn't think it possible, but this series is actually getting even more depressing as it goes on. Still want to strangle every single adult for being that stupid and/or cruel. Gyah! It's somewhat frustrating to read these at this point, because the only characters I don't hate are Violet, Klaus, and Sunny. I'm going to keep going for now, but I'm not sure if I'll make it through all 13. Those poor abused, neglected kids. And even worse than Count Olaf is Mr. Poe, gladly sending them into danger every book, scolding them for pointing out that it's obviously Count Olaf, and then scolding them again for not telling him sooner when they discover that it is Count Olaf in the end of each book (even though they already told him, usually repeatedly). At this point, I blame him more than the Count for all the childrens' suffering. *sighs*
So, I'll go roll my dice now for this week's book, and put that into my next post so it'll be easier to keep track of.

Started On: Indiana Avenue
Landed On: Ventnor Avenue - Library Books - Must read 2 book to own. Must read 4 books if the property is owned.
Welp, that'll probably slow me down for awhile.

Naw, but I have a bunch of books I need to read asap, so the two books I gotta read to buy it hafta take a backseat for a wee bit. And sadly, I don't think any of the books I need to read were on the list. :(
Also, I've not had much time to read lately, because real life keeps butting its head in, saying "Amber, your friends insist on hanging out with you. Amber, you have appointments you need to go to. Amber, there's a bunch of non-reading stuff you have to do. Amber, I'm being annoying, aren't I?". Stupid real life... *grumble, grumble*

This one is a reread for me. And of course I loved it! I hated angsty Harry, and Umbridge of course...but this series is amazing. And they keep getting better! I can read these again and again.

This one is another reread for me! Been awhile since I last read it. I really loved the whole take on the vampire thing in this one. Such a different view of it, and I love the whole magick thing added to it all. I need to continue reading these books, because I never finished this series! Looks like I'm going to be doing that soon!
I now own Pennsylvania Avenue

Book #1

Book:DOMINIC
Read: 4/21

Review
I hated Dominic through most of the book. He was to arrogant, possessive and violent for me. I did like Bronagh and Brannna they were so feisty. I will probably continue on with the series

Unfortunately Amanda beat me to owning Pennsylvania Avenue

Start: Pennsylvania Avenue
End: Income tax
Task: read a book with a rich or really poor character or with someone that works in a bank

Thats how I thought we were playing it

Yeah, that's the idea.

I know, right? I'm ashamed of it myself, reading things not everybody else on the planet is also currently reading. But hopefully I am a nice enough person otherwise for the entire planet to forgive me some day. ^_^

This one was really good. Loved it. Stephen King is brilliant, and this one lived up to my expectations. It was creepy and awesome, and I loved it. I have never seen the movie adaptation of this one, but I think I'm going to have to now.

Book 1 I'm reading

Read: Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones (shelved as "Library" 148 times)
Review: Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! It was so different from the movie in so many ways, yet it still managed to be equally as awesome (and considering the movie is one of my absolute favorite movies, period, that's saying something). I plowed through over 250 pages in one go because I just couldn't put it down. And I immediately requested the second book from the library. I loved the writing, and the setting, and all the characters (and I definitely liked where the black knob on the door went way better in the book than the movie version). It was by and far one of my favorite books to have read. Five+ stars. ^_^

Review: I don't think I enjoyed it as much as the first time I read it, but I really do like it. I thought the main character Chloe was annoying at times, and I thought it was unbelievable when (view spoiler) But I thought Tori was totally messed up, going around thinking she's so awesome. I wonder what (view spoiler) I also couldn't remember that (view spoiler) I need to re-read the rest of the series too.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Absolutely loved this one. Super cute story, amazing characters. Loved Caymen's humor, and Xander was cute! Nice little romance. And I didn't mind the doll store...even though I think porcelain dolls are super creepy...

This one was really interesting. I loved the whole idea of the archives. I loved where the author went with this. Awesome world building here, good characters. Looking forward to continuing this series.

Yeah, ugh. I feel sorry for whoever lands on that one, since it's 5 books for rent!
At least the DNF shelf wasn't so bad. I was scared it was going to have crappy books...

Just my luck. Holy moly. At least I've got this same spot and doing the same thing in another game, so I'll be completing them all together. Probably be at least another month before I get off this spot, and by then all of the remaining properties'll be gone, and I'll own nothing.
