The Hunger Games Trilogy

message 23: by Aleshia (new)

Aleshia (madscibrarian) I don't see the Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson trilogy listed here, so I'll include that. I haven't finished the 3rd book yet, but the first two are very good.

The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss is also very, very good. It still isn't finished but the first 2 books are out. It is expected to be 3.

An old goodie is The Song of the Lioness Quartet by Tamora Pierce. Definitely one of my favorites growing up.

Howl's Moving Castle series by Diana Wynne Jones. Yes, the Studio Ghibli film is based off the first book, but they are both slightly different. I love them both dearly.

The Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger. This is a steampunk urban fantasy romance series. She has a YA series set in the same world and time period (Victorian) but I haven't read that yet. The Parasol Protectorate is a lighter adult fantasy read and it's tons of fun.

message 37: by Alison (new)

Alison (secretvamp) | 264 comments I would recommend:
The Falling Kingdom series by Morgan Rhodes for Teens
Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan for most Middle School graders (But also everyone.)
Cassandra Clare novels for Teens - some people say her books aren't that good but I think they're amazing. Especially Lady Midnight. You can see the growth in Cassie's writing.
The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer for those who want fantastic retellings.
Sarah J. Maas novels - they literally are books that still keep you guessing.
And of course, Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling for everyone.
And I also have more.

message 47: by Rachel (new)

Rachel The Helen Grace series by M.J. Arlidge ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

message 48: by Nicky (new)

Nicky (raggamuffin) | 28 comments As a young girl I really loved Monica Furlong's Wise Child (I read it in ducth back then, the cover was so much better) and it's part of the Doran Series.

Also, since I'm being nostalgic: the Death Gate cycle series (starting with Dragon Wing ) is the first Fantasy series I ever read and I loved them. But if you've already read many high fantasy series, then this might not be for you.

I also highly recommend The Cemetery of the forgotten books Series by Zafon, staring with The Shadow of the Wind.

message 49: by Emm (new)

Emm | 63 comments I would recommend everybody the Divergent series because it is so amazing but if u don't like reading much and u want a short read I would recommend the Slection series.
