Danielle | 2 comments The Kingkiller Chronicles. I have only read the first book and I'm about to start the second, but so far this series is just amazing. I can't believe it isn't as popular as it should be.
And Percy Jackson, of course.

Lindy | 4 comments The Lunar Chronicles (one of THE best series EVER) and the Ruby Red Trilogy (also one of my favorites) I recommend these two because they are incredibly awesome, and even though I think they are for all ages they are perfect for 13-17 because it doesn't go extremely overboard on the romance in a bad way (although they DEFINITELY do not lack in that area ;P )

Shaveta (shaveta3) | 1 comments Hi!! :D

Apologies already, for some of the series that I mention below are already mentioned above, but here's throwing them all in the ring - BEST BOOK SERIES EVER THAT HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE!!! :)

- Air Awakens series, by Elise Kova (4 books out, final 5th out in July). Brilliant series by one of the most gifted, talented authors I've ever had the privilege of reading, like ever. MUST READ YA fantasy.

- The Kingkiller Chronicles, by Patrick Rothfuss (2 books out, the first one "The Name of the Wind" is a heroic fantasy that will make you root for the character, as you laugh, cry, cheer, and feel every darn emotion under the sun with him. Mind-blowing brilliant series, unique magic.)

- Stormlight Archive series, by Brandon Sanderson (these are giant epic fantasy reads, but awesome escape to an innovative world of Roshar, with a very unique magic system, and the main protagonist, who redefines heroism. Sheer magnificence.)

- Throne of Glass series, by Sarah J Maas. (4 books out, counting minutes for the 5th one out in Sept) Epic. A gift to mankind, from a highly talented author. Highly recommended.

- A Court of Thorns and Roses series, by Sarah J Maas. (2 books out. A special mention - the second book "A Court of Mist and Fury" is - absolutely - the - B.E.S.T. book I have read in my whole life. Coming so definitively from an obsessive avid reader, thats saying something. Its a NY- bestseller, justifiably so.)

- The Ryria Revelations series, by Michael J Sullivan (consists of 6 parts, but they're combined 2 parts each, into 3 books). Highly entertaining heroic fantasy, very adventurous, with rockstar characters Hadrian and Royce, whom you'll slowly fall in love with.

- Six of Crows, by Leigh Bardugo (Its better read after reading The Grisha trilogy, by the same author.) The book Six of Crows is a lovable rascal. Second book coming err...soon?

- Falling Kingdoms series, by Morgan Rhodes (4 books out, well written, won't call them the best, but they get better and better progressively, and then all of a sudden you just love them. :D )

- The Black Mage series, by Rachel E. Carter (3 books out, YA - great awesome reads with lots of feels).

- Shades of Magic series, by Victoria E. Schwab (2 books out, the first one "A Darker Shade of Magic" is one I hold close to my heart. Great great reads!)

- The Wheel of Time series, by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson (this series is a lifetime's worth of books written by the first author, followed by the latter who completed the former's work. This series draws its share of enthusiasts and detractors, but I for one, LOVE IT. It defines epic fantasy. Its a vast series, 14 books long. But one of the best series in the genre - I am grateful to have read and finished it.)

Let's roll out the canons -
* Harry Potter. 'Nuff said.
* Lord of the Rings. (though I like the movies better, forgive me :P )

Megan | 19 comments Ruined OMG I LOVED READING THAT BOOK!!!

message 136: by Juliette (new)

Juliette | 94 comments I definitely do recommend everybody to give the Twilight saga a go whether it is through the movies or the books just because they are just so worth it and I do think that all these prejudices on Twilight are really unfair because it's the reason a lot of people don't even try it. It's not about a girl who falls in love with a vampire and a werewolf, there's so much more to it than just that. So please, please just try it. I promise you will love it and if you don't... well that shouldn't happen so just try it!!!!

Leticia (leticiaromantic) | 21 comments A Court of Thorns and Roses series.
Currently on Book #2 and although it's a great book I'm just not enjoying it as much as I did the first book. Still recommend the series because it's a great tale of female empowerment, adventure, world building and character development. And most have loved the second book. Definitely worth a read.
And if you're into Fantasy/ Fantasy Romance I highly recommend the Radiance: Wraith Kings Series by Grace Draven https://www.goodreads.com/series/1447...
Some of the best romance I've read in a long time,
