Hiya, Team Caps! Thanks for volunteering to guide your team through a round of BookShelf Bingo! Your job, should you choose to accept it, will require a few things:
1 ~ Be our go-to person should we have any questions about your team
2 ~ Organize your teammate's weekly reads for each shelf/category so that the BSB Ninjas can quickly and easily verify and approve your stamp request(s)
3 ~ Encourage and motivate your team (you may also ask to borrow Judithe's whip whenever necessary)
4 ~ Post regularly to ensure your team is communicating and on track each week (Send them a PM and friendly poke if they haven't posted at least once a week, noted their book choice, and/or appear to have dropped out of webspace)
5 ~ Send us a PM (Steph, Sandra or Judithe) should you need us for any reason throughout the game
hi all - excited to meet everyone & to play... I have been Captain in previous SOS Bingo games so if no one else wants to do it I dont mind to take it on I dont have any name suggestions just yet but Im working on a few....
Sallie you're elected!!!!!! LOLJust to let everyone know, I'll be away from the computer from 9 April - 22 April. Going to Fraser Island in Qld with a big bunch of friends, so it should be great.
But I'm not sure on internet connections, so I'm planning for the worst case scenario. If I can connect I will, so I know what to read :)
Judithe will be doing the shelf calls for those 2 weeks, and I'll be doing all the rest.

sounds like fun....& thanks for the election....lol
ok - next thing is our team name....i came up with
Fire Touched in honor of PB's new release w/mercy thompson.
still trying to think of something with the #20
I'm guessing 20 will be too hard to incorporate. How about using a name generator, they can be fun :)

Well I know everyone except for Sandra. Thanks for the pm.
I'm absolutely new to this and it's Natalie fault that I joined. Lol.
I guess I should read and pick my free space now.
I'm okay with Sallie being captain.
Hi Tamika, welcome to Bingo :)You can't start reading your free space book till the first shelf is announced tomorrow, but its easier if you've got an idea of what you want to read.
Rules for free space are here
Basically if its on the group bookshelf you're good to go. The bookshelf has 4,640 books listed. Just make sure it has a minimum of 200 pages & isn't a graphic novel.

Being new to the group, I want to make sure I don't mess us up. If a book is on a shelf that is called, but I've already read it and am further in the series, can I read the other book in the series?
For those that don't know me, I'm 56 & live in Sydney Australia. I'm retired but the hubby still works. No kids but lots of nieces, nephews & great nieces, nephews. We are currently trying to do some landscaping and that is a never ending job.I read lots, have read most genres (not the preachy, christian stuff) and currently mostly read pnr/uf, scifi & mysteries. I get twitchy if I don't read. LOL.
Laura wrote: "If a book is on a shelf that is called, but I've already read it and am further in the series, can I read the other book in the series? "Nope, the exact book must be on the shelf. Usually you'll find your book on the shelf but sometimes not.
The best way to check is to go to the book page and look at the top shelves over on the right. It will take you to the list of shelves that the book is on.
Guess I'm introduce myself. My name is Tamika, I'm 28 live in Chicago. I'm a healthcare administrator. Married for 6 years come September. No kids for us yet. We do spoil my niece and nephew. This is going to be challenging for me. I read M/M 99.8 % of the time. I do read J.R. Ward, Kresley Cole, Larissa Ione, Darynda Jones, Shelly Laurenston those are the select pnr/uf books or series that I've read and loved.

We are currently trying to do so..."Nice to meet you! I live in Southern California (desert, not beach). I homeschool my six girls, who all love to read almost as much as me. We also have 6 cats and 16 chickens.
Love those authors Tamika. Shelly is one of my favs :)Homeschooling for 6 must of been challenging Laura, but you've done something right if they are all readers. Both my parents read and I think their example sealed my fate.
No animals here but next doors' dogs have adopted us, which is great, we get to play & they get fed elsewhere. We just celebrated our 30th anniversary earlier this month and that was a lot of fun.

But for the Best Of lists, any book in the series works, right? If so, I may read
, #43 on the PNR list. I loved the first book, and just haven't gotten to the 2nd book. Too many other books getting in the way.

Forget everything else I said. I need to read

for another challenge. It's #93 on the Best YA Fantasy Listopia, but it isn't in the Best Of thread. It still works, right?

Hi everyone Im Sallie - I just turned 51 in February & I live in southern Illinois - just across the river from Vincennes, Indiana....Been married 16 years (July 22) - 2 step-sons (which believe was enough for me - no kids of my own lol) Im momma to 2 beautiful pembroke welsh corgis (that is Jezebelle in my profile pic) & 2 kitties~Houdini (Hootie) & his ever lovely sidekick Miss Dorothy (Miss Dottie) - Miss Dottie is our newest edition she arrived on our doorstep - hubby let her in by accident & she is now part of the family (for all of 2 weeks). I read a ton as well....all genres except christian & horror.

I like it. It makes me feel young! :)

Sure! :)
There should be plenty of MM aliens. I see them all the time when I'm looking around. The trick will be to find one with 200 pgs.

I'll be reading the latest Kitty Katt.

with a whopping 540 pgs, so it may take a day or 2, especially as it is a public holiday here tomorrow for Good Friday.

I will set us with a tracking post in just a little while,....but I'm going to read

, Jennifer l armentrout for the aliens shelf

Just to make sure I'm doing this right: I don't need to look through all 100 pages of that shelf, right? If I go to a book I want to read, and I click the top shelves link, and Aliens is on that list, even if only 4 people have shelved it that way, it works? Book in question:

That's correct Laura. All the pages are really for those who can't decide what to read. If you already know and the book has the exact same wording as the shelf, you're good to go.

Thanks! Although I didn't realize that it has 587 pages. It's okay if it takes me a week or so, right? No one's going to call Bingo on just this and the free space! :) My March is pretty full right now, but if I don't get to it before then, it will be my first April read.
Oh my goodness!!! Thank you. I was getting worried. I just need to find a book over 200 pages but top shelf has top be Aliens.I think it's time for my re-read of
