I don't think I've been on a team with anyone here before. Do we have any newbies or are you all veterans to BSB? I think I started in Round 7. I love it! I've already started making my lists for the shelves even though I won't use them when it comes time :) Lists are fun, lol.
So we need a Captain- any volunteers?
And we need some name ideas...
I'll see what I can come up with!

Crash Test Dummies
The Series Killers
Between The Sheets
Series Liquidators
Mullet Mafia
Razz Ma Tazz/ Razzmatazzers
Top Gunners
The Walking Read
Fear The Walking Read ?
The Danger Zone
Soup-A-Stars
Hugh Jass Readers
Midgets With Mohawks
Lol, I don't know! Most of these came from a Team Name site. Okay, that's all I've got.

I think I have my Free Space book picked out. I'll make an official post later.

I've picked my Free Space book too.

Hi everyone :) Sorry I am so late, didn't realize sorting had happened yet...I realize now I should have been following the discussion thread. Thanks for the PM Nichole!
This is my first time playing so I am feeling a bit like a fish out of water but I am sure I will catch on soon. We get a shelf call today right?

Do you have a preference on a name for our team, Kelsi?
I'll will be using Message #6 to keep track of our books. Now I need to pick my free space book :)
Like you guys I like The Walking Read! Those were all great suggestions though, I was giggling at Midgets With Mohawks! :D

Alienated by Melissa Landers
Finished: 3/25/16
Rating: ♥♥♥♥
Alienated by Melissa Landers was a good book. It tells the story of Cara who, in exchange for a full scholarship to college, takes on an exchange student, Aelyx, from the planet L'eihr. In spite of the L'eihr's gift to Earth, the cure to cancer (which saved Cara's mom) Earthlings and L'eihrs have a rocky relationship. The exchange of student is supposed to foster goodwill, but in the end causes little but strife. In the center of it all are Aelyx and Cara, Aelyx being initially the more judgemental of the two. As Cara is gradually alienated by her friends and classmates, she becomes closer to Aelyx, who becomes more human as the book progresses. I think the book was well written and I liked the way the characters and their relationship developed. The author makes a very sci-if topic very real, and the issues the characters, both alien and human, face are the ones we face everyday: getting along with those foreign to us, caring for the environment, learning to love and trust, and gaining and losing friends.

This installment had about 18678346 things going on at the same time! Of course, chaos seems to erupt with Charley and it ripples out in all directions. Luckily, Charley is just a tad cray cray and makes me laugh. A lot! If only we could get answers to everything.
1. There's the naked dead guy in her car. He's old, he's well endowed and he's standing at attention. Okay, so he's not really important to the story but his presence garnered a few chuckles.
2. There's something going on with her dad. He's acting very strange and he's about to sail off into the wild blue yonder. She gets just enough clues to know that he's hiding something. Argh!
3. For some reason the Captain is having her followed and photographed. This was at least cleared up before the end.
4. The missing child case she's working on leads back to Reyes. Was he kidnapped? Does he have a brother? Again, this is mostly cleared up. Mostly.
5. The set up. Charley has a plan to get Uncle Bob and Cookie together since neither of them will make a move. It's not bad but like all things with Charley it doesn't go as planned.
6. The Dealer is in town. One of her cases leads her to The Dealer and she learns a few things about him, herself, and Reyes. This is probably the most important part and it's tangled in the middle of all the other crazy that I'm sure I missed things.
7. Who or what exactly is Mr. Wong? Hmmm?
8. Wowza cliffhanger. Yep, I need to read the next books soon.
And about a million other things like Rocket and his list of names, Garret and the Prophecy, Quentin and his abilities, Angel and his mother, the 12 Beasts and on and on.
I'm liking this series more and more. However, until I start getting more answers than questions I'm not sure if I can go 5 stars. It's one of the things that drives me crazy. Each book gives us just a crumb to satisfy and even more things to question. Aaargh! How long do I have to wait?

Gold. Pure, solid Gold. This is a perfect example of why Ilona Andrews leads the pack of my favorite authors. Every book they write is guaranteed to be top-notch. They have a talent for taking a simple character and turning them into something extraordinary. It amazes me.
Dina DeMille is an Innkeeper. Sounds somewhat boring, right? Not on your life! As an Innkeeper, Dina needs guests to sustain the Inn's magic and keep it thriving. The Inn itself is a living thing that is like an extension of Dina's magic. It conforms to Dina's will and magic to make guests comfortable, happy and safe. It also becomes a fortress when needed and helps protect the guests and punish the trespassers. I can't really put into words the awesomeness of this, you just have to experience it for yourselves. And where the heck is Sean?
Dina is approached to host a Peace Summit that has the potential to raise her Inn's level or crush her and the Inn. She has a lot to lose but can't really do anything but accept the deal. It will take every bit of her money, wits and magic to keep the peace between the 3 warring factions that will be her guests. Not too mention hiding everything from the human police officer that just won't leave her alone. Chaos erupts and Dina is constantly scrambling to keep the peace. That is until things go too far and she's had enough!
"Your status, your wealth, and your position do not matter. You are in my domain. Here, I alone am the judge, the jury, and the executioner."
That's right, folks. The Innkeeper is in the house.
I loved it! It had plenty of action, a boat load of humor and a little taste of romance. I think the more books they write the funnier they get. The only thing I would have liked to see more of was Sean and Dina getting a little further along in the romance department. But that's something that IA likes to take slow. I can be patient. Really, I can. When's the next book coming out? #pacing
Oops, I forgot to mention the Edgers that play important roles in this book!! That was such a treat! I hope we see them again :)

Not a whole lot to say about this one. I feel that it is basically an in-between book in the series. You learn a lot about the Luxen and the DOD, and Katy begins to develop powers from when Daemon healed her in the first book. I liked seeing the development of the world and the relationship between Katy and Daemon but not a whole lot actually happens. I am definitely still interested enough to continue with the series though! I am not a big alien fan, enjoying this type of series is a rarity for me. I like this one a lot though :)

I'm so ready for the next shelf!
Hmm well I will still have to read it to find out if I feel the same I guess! I have already started to notice some annoying traits though. She seems to make really stupid decisions pretty often...
I'm ready too! Working on getting through my free space book though so I'm still fairly occupied for the moment.

This! But most people really liked it so don't listen to me :)

Best of Paranormal Romance #20
Another wonderful read. These books are so much fun. I can see why there are so many in the series :). How can Lysany not keep writing them ;).
Marguerite and Tiny have not called in from Europe for three days and Lissiana has had her baby so this is very troubling to the Argeneau family. Bastien sends Thomas to London in search of Marguerite. He sets up Inez a VP for Argeneau to pick Thomas up at the airport and help him around London.
What transpires is full of fun as well as mystery and action. Unlike the prior books this one leaves you hanging on waiting for VAMPIRE INTERRUPTED. I cannot wait. I just love this series.
