WOW! This original copy of The Fragments which was posted to me on the 4th October arrived in the mail today! I checked the tracking history through its number and discovered it had been back and forwards to various parts of Melbourne and Sydney no less than 21 times! Finally arriving here this afternoon 😱
I now have two copies lol, I will bring one copy to the next meetup for a "mystery book" 😂
I have let Text know.

Just crazy!! IMHO AusPost seem to have something against Text Publishing. They gave me some guff about the machine having trouble reading the address, which was written perfectly clearly

Happy birthday, Nat! Always exciting to receive books as gifts! Enjoy!

I've been putting off the first book because it seems a bit middle-grade? But everyone is raving! What sort of books would you compare this series to?

I don't really like comparing - it is a well written fantasy - a great adventure - there is magic (good and bad) a crazy cast of characters and in the first book the MC had to pass challenges to get into a school of magic (or wunder as they call it here) the story continues in book 2
I've seen it related to Harry Potter (isn't everything nowadays) but I don't think it is the same at all.

As long as it's well-written then I might still give it a crack. Thanks Sally!

The Road by Cormac McCarthy $3
Mail Obsession: A Journey Round Britain by Postcode by Mark Mason $3
