I loved it - I am in the process of writing my review. Even if you like it HALF as much as me then you're in for a good time!
Carolyn wrote: "I bought this book at a market stall on the weekend for the cat book in this month's challenge.
[book:Making..."I have this tbr as well, Carolyn! Should be excellent!
I'm now a Netgalley member and received my first requested books Burning Ridge by Margaret Mizushima excited about this one!

The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molloy for my buddy read in May!
Completely on impulse I purchased online
My Lady's Choosing: An Interactive Romance Novel by Kitty Curran. It is an “Interactive” Romance Novel – like the old pick an adventure books I read as a child :)
Here is the blurb: Lets you pick your path, follow your heart, and find happily ever after. You are the plucky but penniless heroine in the centre of eighteenth-century society, courtship season has begun, and your future is at hand. Will you flip forward fetchingly to find love with the bantering baronet Sir Benedict Granville? Or turn the page to true love with the hardworking, horse-loving highlander Captain Angus McTaggart? Or perhaps race through the chapters chasing a good (and arousing) man gone mad, bad, and scandalous to know, Lord Garraway Craven? Or read on recklessly and take to the Continent as the “travelling companion” of the spirited and adventuresome Lady Evangeline? Or yet some other intriguing fate? Make choices, turn pages, and discover all the daring delights of the multiple (and intertwining!) story-lines. And in every path you pick, beguiling illustrations bring all the lust and love to life.
Doesn’t that sound intriguing? Get to the bottom of the page and basically you are asked to pick - go to ball? - go to page 67; stay at home - go to page 15; and so on.
I couldn’t see this working as an eBook – so have purchased the physical one. Looking forwards to it arriving in the mail.

Congratulations and have fun with Netgalley. It’s hard to resist the urge to request more and more books. :)

Pleased to borrow The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas from work today. It is one of our new additions. I saw this author at the Writers Festival last year.
Got home from work and found a small parcel of books - all Aussie writers I got:
Mallee Boys by Charlie Archbold - a debut YA novel that won the Adelaide Festival Unpublished Manuscript Award and was recently shortlisted for the Children's Book Council of Australia's Book of the Year for Older Readers - so looking forwards to this one
Anzac Biscuits by Allison Reynolds - I love social history so this caught my eye.
Wild Asparagus, Wild Strawberries by Barbara Santich - a memoir of two years in France

Ditto to this, it’s very hard to resist...but I love seeing what’s coming out.
I picked up The Agency from the library today but sadly I can't start it until May 1st (pesky challenges)
Marianne wrote: "On the strength of Veronica's review, I collected this You Wish from the library today."I hope you love it Marianne.

Oh my, there's nothing quite like a brand new hardback, is there? In the mail today from Hachette:
A People's History of the Vampire Uprising by Raymond A. Villareal it's an uncorrected bound proof so doesn't have all that writing on the cover, just the eye in an expanse of red
Also from Hachette an ARC of The Key
Canada is the next country I want to visit so ordered Canada by Mike Myers today. Not a cheap book but almost impossible to find on Trove. A library in Brisbane had it but for all the trouble its worth organising an inter library loan I thought I might as well purchase it.

No vampires for me but The Key looks interesting.
My preordered ebooks downloaded today - I got
Bloodtree River by Sarah Barrie and
The Last Of The Bonegilla Girls by Victoria Purman
Haha! Well done! I just reviewed both of them on Amazon for the same reason :) You'll love both Sally!
I popped into my local Salvos today and scored The Whole Bright Year and And Fire Came Down; both from my TBR.
My copy of The Woman in the Woods by John Connolly arrived from Book Depository. More Charlie Parker. Can’t wait!
Good thing I didn’t want to buy it in QBD. They still don’t have it on their shelves.
I am going to try and wait a bit before I read it though. There are such long gaps between his books!
