Ancient Light
Fatty O'Leary's Dinner Party
Pirate Rain

I bought this book at a market stall on the weekend for the cat book in this month's challenge.
Making Rounds with Oscar: The Extraordinary Gift of an Ordinary Cat by David Dosa. It's about a cat who lives in a nursing home and somehow knows when a patient is dying and is drawn to their bed to keep them company. Could require tissues!
Came home and so excited to find a package from Allen & Unwin containingEleanor's Secret by Caroline Beecham
The Jade Lily by Kirsty Manning and
Little Gods by Jenny Ackland
Bought this:The Knife of Never Letting Go
to see what all the fuss is about.
Acquired this:
Everything I Never Told You

Coming home to a long day and there was this parcel waiting for me...so with thanks to Allen & Unwin I have in my hot little hands..The Illumination of Ursula Flight by Anna-Marie Crowhurst
Little Gods by Jenny Ackland

Amazing! Thanks so much!
Today I received a copy of Little Gods by Jenny Ackland from Allen & Unwin. Pretty excited as I had no idea I'd won a copy 😊
I received a parcel from Allen and Unwin today too, a lovely surprise I wasn't expecting. I received Little Gods by Jenny Ackland, Eleanor's Secret by Caroline Beecham and A Certain Light by Cynthia Banham
I had a surprise package from Allen & Unwin yesterday as well!! I received Girls at the Piano by Virginia Lloyd, Eleanor's Secret by Caroline Beecham and The Jade Lily by Kirsty Manning.
Sounds like there have been some busy bees at Allen & Unwin packing up and posting off books for all of us!!

We sure are Dale. It seems like the Goodreads Giveaways are greatly diminishing.

Yes I've noticed that, too!
Gotta love surprises 😊 Just requested it from the library, so I'll be the first one to read it when it arrives 😊👏

Indeed! Sometimes there are no new books at all, other days one or two. Used to be several each day. So, very grateful to Allen & Unwin! And they seem to have quite a few great reads ATM
Went to Barnes and Noble today and was excited to get Life Inside My Mind: 31 Authors Share Their Personal Struggles as it's not due out for 2 days. The assistant went out the back and found it for me. Also bought The 57 Bus: A True Story of Two Teenagers and the Crime That Changed Their Lives by Dashka Slater.Bought the following for my nephew - 101 Movies to Watch Before You Die by Ricardo Cavolo and This Little Trailblazer: A Girl Power Primer, Baby's Big World - Yoga and Night Night, Groot for my great nieces and nephews.

Used to be 23 or 24 pages of books that Australians could enter. Now down to 3 pages. Choice is very limited. Thank goodness that Allen and Unwin have found a way to keep Australian readers aware of upcoming new releases via Goodreads. It was a very poor decision on Goodreads part to change the conditions of their Giveaways. I often found new authors via the giveaway pages and have shared many with friends over the years. Just yesterday I gave away 7 books to someone I have just met and encouraged her to read and pass on the books my sister and I had won through Goodreads. She as never read any of the authors and so here was an opportunity to extend her collection. I know if she enjoys the authors given she will purchase books as that is how she mainly gets her reading material.
My postie just delivered - from Simon & Schuster
Second Sight by Aoife Clifford

The Coconut Rebellion by Mark Stary"Looks like a fun read.
I've struck lucky and got my grubby little paws on a few books recently thanks to their lovely authors:
The Summer of New Beginnings by Bette Lee Crosby
Nathan Fox: Seas of Blood by L Brittney (this is the 3rd in a YA historical adventure trilogy - the first two came out years ago and she has been looking for a publisher for the final one all this time - just proves to authors never to give up as she has now got it published)
Murder in Belgravia by Lynn Brittney - historical mystery by same author as Nathan Fox one, but this is for grown ups!!!
Eventually Julie by Anthea Syrokou - an new for me Aussie author, and finally
Children of Midgard by Siobhan Clark - who owns a beagle, so she must be a good writer!!!Am just crawling out of a reading slump and these all hit my inbox within a few hours of each other :)
