Funny Brenda, that's why I read Little Secrets earlier than usual because I have learnt that Harlequin only approve me for one book at a time on Netgalley. I saw the new Tricia Stringer there the other day and desperately wanted to read it. Luckily they granted me access today for it :)

Hahaha yes, going into bookstores (and being unable to resist purchasing at least one book!) is most definitely an addiction!

I had to take my car to get looked at in Warrnambool today (visiting my family during the school holidays), and went into Collins Booksellers, and a little later Target...

and they were having a book sale, so for 50c each I got

I picked up Death of a Ghost by M.C. Beaton from the library today. I need a book with a 'horror' theme for October and as I don't do horror I felt that a Murder mystery with a haunted castle and a 'dead' ghost will be a compromise :)

Yeah, I've pretty much caught up in the series despite reading it out of order. The last I read was Chase, and that was over a year ago.

I've found it best to read them in order and I have Bullseye to read before this one :)

I agree, and I think they also work very well on their own. By the time I'd realised it was a series, I was already half into Alert and really enjoying it. From there, I'd just read them based on their availability to me. Without wanting to reduce or take away from it, the Michael Bennett series to me is the literary equivalent of very good comfort food.

Picked up Remind Me How This Ends by Gabrielle Tozer (AA) and Northern Lights by Philip Pullman. Who knows when I'll get to them but handy to have another AA at the ready! :)
