I haven't read the first 3 and a half, but I do plan to. But, yes, as far as I'm concerned, it can be read stand-alone. I imagine there are spoilers in this book for the first 3 and a half, but I won't find out until I read them, LOL.

I wonder when A&R will twig that they've marked it $2 instead of $20, or something.....

I recommend Slow Horses. I've just finished it and it's a run down of all at slough house and why they are there. I came out of it really knowing what Jackson Lamb is all about.

Oh these aren't old library books. They have a donation bin all year round where anyone can donate unwanted books. They collect them all and sell them at the annual book fair (unless they keep them for their shelves) then use the money raised to buy new books. It's great they have tables of books and people are lined up down the street waiting for the doors to open.
