message 2014: by Carolyn (last edited Feb 04, 2017 05:01PM) (new)

Carolyn | 9840 comments I had a mini-splurge this weekend restocking my kindle (not that it needed it!):
Police at the Station and They Don't Look Friendly by Adrian McKinty,
The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater,
Stormdancer by Jay Kristoff,
The Golden Child by Wendy James (excited about this one with everyone saying how good it is!)

I've also ordered a paperback copy of Gemina :)

message 2015: by Brenda, Aussie Authors Queen (new)

Brenda | 80013 comments Mod
Well done Carolyn! I looked at Adrian McKinty's latest but figured as I haven't even started the series yet I'd be better off waiting!

You have some great books there though :)

message 2016: by Carolyn (last edited Feb 04, 2017 05:18PM) (new)

Carolyn | 9840 comments I've still got Rain Dogs in paperback (signed by Adrian) to read next so I won't get to the new one for a while, but it was a good price.

I see there's a giveaway for this one - and it's set in my city! "One hot, wet summer" - well, this summer hasn't been so wet, but the hot part is about right, and I'm wet with sweat, so... However, I'm not complaining - there are other parts of the country that are hotter than here at the moment!

message 2027: by Kathryn (last edited Feb 05, 2017 08:22PM) (new)

Kathryn | 3569 comments The books I won in the Australia Day giveaway from Carol Reading Writing and Riesling (https://readingwritingandriesling.wor...) arrived today!

Skin Deep by Gary Kemble
Ida by Alison Evans
Resurrection Bay by Emma Viskic
Le Chateau by Sarah Ridout

And, although it was a 4 book giveaway that I won, there is a 5th book in the post-pak! Ghost Girls by Cath Ferla

Thanks, Carol!

I don't think I should borrow any more books from the library for about a month after my current loans go back! I think I've got enough books here to see me through until April!

I wonder that it's a later date on Netgalley because it was listed by Random House UK, so most likely UK release date?
