One of the co-authors of this series, Jess Black, was one of my tutors for a writing course I did several years ago.
I dropped in at the library on the way home from my grocery shop to collect two reserves:Precious and Grace
and The Bertie Project (which will go to Mum first, then come back to me)

Indulged in an audible subscription on Saturday. I love 'reading' my favourites on audiobook while I'm doing stuff. Bought The Black Prism by Brent Weeks and have been really enjoying listening. I always find that I hear little things that I might have missed when I read.

Me too Leonie. Certainly makes those activities a bit more exciting. I love it for re-reading favourites too. Nothing like listening to Jamie Fraser from Outlander to make cleaning the bathroom marginally more appealing :)

Ah the new book - be interested in what you think I must have been the only person in the world who was not a huge fan of Burial Rites - loved the setting and the history but the characters just didn't come alive for me. So will probably borrow this one rather than buy :)
