collected a reserve from the library and left at Mum's for her to read, Liz Byrski's latest, The Woman Next Door (when she's done, I get to read it too)

then from the library near her place, for me, Maggie O'Farrell's latest, This Must Be the Place

In the mail today from Text, Dear Mr M by Dutch author Herman Koch.
This is the second copy, the first one they sent me is still in transit somewhere and will no doubt turn up in a few weeks looking battered and worn from its trip from Melbourne to Thirroul via Amsterdam where it will visit the author and maybe some of my rellies.
But at least I have one to read, even if the publishing date is well past.

My copy of River Runarrived yesterday. Also Small Great Things came this week. Both wins on Goodreads. Perfect timing. Holidays and long service leave started Friday arvo. No work until the end of January. Plenty of time to read my collection of TBR.
