well done Mish! I'm hoping my order will turn up tomorrow. 20% off was too good to pass up on those wishlist books...
Phrynne wrote: "I loved A Corner of White Mish. It starts a great trilogy."Great Phrynne. I marked it down on my TBR after reading your review. My library doesn't have a copy so I'm happy I found it there :)

Thanks Marianne. Definitely too good to pass up. It's the first time I ordered books from this site, are they usually on time with their delivery?
I'm really disappointed I'm unable to locate any of my Deborah Challinor books on that site :(
Yes Mish - both Marianne and Jools say they are very quick :)

As soon as they email you that your order has been processed you get it usually the next day ;)
Yes, Jools, that's been my experience too. And as I don't have an email today, I guess they won't come before Wednesday now....although, you are in Melbourne, Mish, so maybe you'll get them same day as the email.

Yes, after reading the Convict Girls series, then I read Tamar which is book one of a trilogy, on my kindle so want to get the rest plus another trilogy she's written. The kindle copies are almost $8 so I'm resisting those now :) Plus I'd love the paperback copies to keep!

Thanks for the rec Jools :) I'm sure I will like it. It seem like it right up my alley.
the book whisperer had a pretty good book day today:a couple of J.D. Robb books for my friends (and this Salvos still had 50% off books so instead of $2 they were $1 each)
Loyalty in Death Veronica
Imitation in Death Brenda ( hope it meets your standard, but for $1 I wasn't going to let it go)
then picked up another TBR Hijacker from the library, Dale's fault again! The Advent of Murder
Vinnies Past the Shallows $2.50
Salvos a nice hardcover with DJ by one of my fave authors, Bill Bryson Shakespeare illustrated, in very good cond $3
found a new Mission Australia that had been there since Feb, all books $1 The Ice Princess
Vinnies Buried Angels $2
and finally the 3 for $2 Mission Aus
A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man and
Crossing to Safety and
The Natural Way of Things (for the swap meet)
Enjoy The Ice Princess Marianne. It's a great series. I am borrowing the eBooks on Overdrive from my lovely library:)
Niamh wrote: "I bought United as One today. $18 from Dymocks when RRP is $23 :)"Good pick up Niamh. Have you read the rest of the series?
I just received my order from Book Depository - The Eagle Has Landed by Jack Higgins
An old classic which I was positive I owned - now I do! Trouble is it's the small paperback with little writing :( Doesn't match the rest in my collection!

I'm finding I have to check book details and dimensions now before ordering, after a bought a couple of small print books.
Hmm! Didn't know you could do that....but if you want it and they no longer have the large paperback size, I guess we don't have a choice do we!
well, I got my Brotherhood order today, but there was a book missing :(I had to email them (unlike last time when the refund came through automatically), but they have assured me it will be refunded.
So I got The Slow Regard of Silent Things $4.40 and The Chase $6 (this was after the 20% discount) but not The Ocean at the End of the Lane for $4.80 :((
all wishlist books, all in good condition.

I just finished one of those the other day. 400 pages of teeny tiny print. I was going cross eyed:)

Yes I have Veronica. Kind of feeling bittersweet, because it's going to be over after five years, when I first read I Am Number Four, but I'm also excited to see how it all ends!!
Marianne wrote: "aaand I just got the email telling me I have a refund."I have to apologise to Brotherhood: there was a letter inside the bigger book telling me they couldn't find the book that was missing, and that I would be refunded.
my bad!

I usually feel the same. Finishing a series is satisfying and devistating at the same time.

I didn't received an email Marianne but received all books yesterday too. I'm impressed by the speedy delivery!
I'm on a roll! I popped into QBD books this week and found a hardcover of The Farm by Tom Rob Smith for $3.00. I bought it. Couldn't resist!!!
Michael wrote: "How could you resist with a price like that Mish. You sure have an eye for a bargain. :)"Its a good time to shop around & stock up Michael, with the end of financial year sales :)
I picked it up not knowing it was a series at first. I chose it solely because of the blurb, which is right up my alley. I'm 100 pages in so far and whilst there's quite a bit of history with these characters, it's working so well as a stand alone novel and I'm really enjoying it so far! I think this is a series I'm going to really like.
It also doesn't hurt that there's a generous dose of James Patterson's signature short chapters which help to keep it moving quickly. It kind of has the same pace as his "Book Shots" series. They all feel like quick reads, which for me is not an easy thing to do!
Mish wrote: "I'm on a roll! I popped into QBD books this week and found a hardcover of The Farm by Tom Rob Smith for $3.00. I bought it. Couldn't resist!!!"Geeze that's great, Mish! It's on my list and you've reminded me. I was in there the other day looking for a good mystery pick for our swap meet :))
Elias wrote: "Yep, Step on a Crack is going to be up next! It actually sounds really good!"
They're a lot slower coming out than his other series. That one was published in 2007 - I really enjoyed it, but his later ones have been getting better and better :)

My latest is Me Before You as I'd leant it and was lost unfortunately. I re purchased so my daughter could read it. Love Booko :)
