Every time I think of her sister I feel bad for her . Mannon's Grandmother is very cruel to have done something like.
Also I didn't like that she (view spoiler)[led Yellowlegs to the Crochan camp. That was just one of the worst things she could have done. It makes her look good as long as they don't know what she's done. (hide spoiler)]

I stopped after finishing chapter 23. Theses chapters are very short and it's getting exciting.
It's hard to stop.

I hear you there, ShoSho! I stopped at the end of chapter 25 this morning, since I didn't get a chance to read last evening, but with everything that was happening with Lorcan and Elide, I didn't want to stop either!

Nah, I just lumped yesterday's reading into today's and read it early this morning as I was trying to rest from a migraine. I also didn't count the prologues, as I had already read to the end of chapter 5 before we decided that the prologues counted. So, basically I'm 2 chapters ahead, and ShoSho's count is accurate.

I can't wait to get home and read more. I might read a bit more in the next few days. I'll be traveling next week, I'll take my book with me but there's no guaranty that I can read my 5 chapters every day.

I read a little bit ahead, I think i stopped somewhere in chapter 66.
There was no way I could stop around chapter 55 so I read up to 62 last night and the rest today.

I have started to think that it will be Dorian who eill die. Especially since Mannon is not the marrying kind.
I wish she had killed her grandmother, she is going to cause big problems.
I loved how the hidden Crochans answered the call. I loved imagining that scene
Elide and Lorcan, I loved them. Loved how things happened between them.
Wow Aelin, about time she used her fire magic.
I'm not sure about Aedion or Lysandra survival either. I hope they get some relief and help.

The chapters from 65 to the last few chapter were really anti climatic. Long winded fight scenes, I lost interest and skipped a few paragraphs on each page. So many fighters and soldiers died that you'd think the whole population was wiped out.
I wasn't happy with Gavriel's and the Thirteen's death. It felt like they were the easiest people to kill off. It seems that she needed to have some death and she didn't want to kill off any of her couples so it was the secondary characters....
What was the point of destroying Elena's soul? I don't know why she did it! Just to create drama I guess.


If the book wasn't this long I might have enjoyed it more but because of the length I lost interest in the middle and I can't give it more than 3 stars. (hide spoiler)]

I haven't finished it yet. I echo you about losing interest in it halfway through, as I've read so many books in the middle of this one. I need it for a couple of quarterly/yearly challenges, so will have to finish it this month.

Eh, it will probably just be with me...ShoSho has already finished it, and I don't believe Kelby will be attempting it again in February.

Our plan was to read 5 chapters a day, but the book has 2 prologues, so it was a total of 123 chapters. My plan was to keep to that for February, reading through the end of Chapter 5 on the 1st. Would that work for you?

I think we may have to wait on ACOWAR...I meant to get to this one this month along with ACOMAF, but just couldn't bring myself to pick it up. I'm afraid if we attempt to read ACOWAR alongside this one, I'll get too distracted by ACOWAR!
