I fell way behind, Kelby! I'm still at the start of chapter 16, and I should have been at the end of chapter 25 by last night! My goal for today is to get caught up to the end of chapter 30!

Don't rush because I am way behind too! I am exactly where you are but I won't be able to catch up that fast, especially not today so we are in the same boat! We had baseball game Monday night and baseball AND softball practice last night from 5:30 - 9pm so I didn't get a chance to read those two nights.

I mentioned this before, but yeah, I think you're right here. They make more sense with others.

I agree, very frustrating!
My daughter had a softball game last night so I didn't get to read much but I hope to do yesterday's reading and catch up with today's.
I am just not feeling Nesryn's parts of the story. I could care less about her!

I got my mom reading this series, I enjoyed it that much, though I can't get my daughter interested in reading this! She said she'd go read it all once it was all released, but I think I'll see about buddy reading it with her when she does, just to see what happens!

My mom has read through Empire, I believe, and we do small discussions, not anything real big like we do for our group or buddy reads. I'd love for her to be on GR, but I know she won't join here, says she doesn't have time.
Yes, my daughter is very much into reading! She's always been well advanced there, and is currently reading at a college level at age 15! I make it a practice to read to my kids when they're young, and make sure they have access to books. My son is a struggling reader, but we read aloud to him every night and last night he kept begging for extra books! Wound up reading 3 total to him last night, before he ended up heading off to bed, so I think he might be on his way to becoming a reader too!

He loves to read as much as me and if it involves dragons or dinosaurs or werewolves then he's sold! He is 7 and reading on a 9th grade level so he is doing pretty good.

My daughter's choices in reading is WAY different than both mine AND my mom's, and she lives with my mom! There is some overlap with me though, so she and I can still chatter about books.
Still at chapter 33? I can't wait for you to get to 48! OMG, the reveal there!! My mind is just blown!
I'm on 38. I have my lunch hour to read but it's a long chapter so hopefully tonight I can sit down after practices and they gym and catch up.
I hope so! Talked with my mom today, she had already figured out the Major Reveal in chapter 48! I couldn't believe it, as I had NO clue! Told her she should be reading Tower!
Well I am up to chapter 41 so I will definitely be getting to 48 tonight so I can see what it is!!!

Ok, finished chapter 48 last night and I can't say that I'm surprised. I knew she was going to play a bigger part than the "Fae Queen" she was claiming to be I just wasn't sure what it was because she is too evil.
I will be able to finish the book today! I am so curious as to what price Yrene had to pay in order to save Chaol's life.

I'm done!!! I am rating this book a 4.5 out of 5 just because some of the chapters were quite boring and slow. (view spoiler)
I finished too. Will probably rate 4 stars. I enjoyed the ending!
We've read them, Sho, no need for spoilers!Remember the end of Empire? All the things Aelin did to get her maneuverings into place? Betcha ten to one, Ansel will factor into book 7. If I remember things correctly, Ansel knows that Aelin spared her. That means she owes Aelin, and with all the machinations Aelin has been doing, I'd bet my last dollar that someone from Aelin's entourage is tracking Ansel down to collect that debt!
I thought the same but still she didn't deserve to live after what she did! I'm just saying
This is clocking in at 992 pages long. Plan is to start it on November 4th and read it in chapter chunks, but I can't find how many chapters it is!
I plan on buying this the day it comes out so I can get the chapter count if we can't find it before then!

4th of November is perfect. I will definitely have it by then. This is definitely the final book , right? I'm guessing that's why it's so long. Hopefully she has wrapped up all the loose ends and we'll have a satisfying ending.

God, I hope so! I'm sad that it is the final book, but I can't wait to see how it all comes together!

Ok, if we want to read it over the course of the month, and we're planning on starting on the 4th, my math says that we can read 5 chapters a day and have it done by the end of November. Do we want to move up or down with that?
I think I can do 5 chapters a day. Her books always seem to take me longer to read for some reason. All other reads go on the back burner next month!!!
