Brilliant, how are we doing?
Pretty well, actually! The first four hands are completely finished.
12 books filled in that are being read at the moment, or soon.
21 cards still need to be filled - 5 of which are Wild/Wild Draw 4 cards, so we can use whatever for them.
We still have 1 reserve left to fill but there are a few options to fill that one, so nothing to worry about.
So out of the 91 cards we started out with, over half have already been completed! :-)
Hi Team Peanuts! Divya here from Team Glee stopping by with a memory for the mini challenge :)Memory
♥ I can't remember a time when I wasn't reading. I think I loved books before I started school, I still have several children picturebooks in the attic from my early years. I always found a quiet corner to read whenever I could, preferred that to going out and play:P The Nancy Drew series was great at that time.
My mom is fond of romance novels and at age 14-15 I was so curious about the books she read, but wouldn't let me read. So finally one day I got my hands on one of those books and started reading in secret...I've been in love with romance books ever since! (needless to say my mom was a bit frustrated when she caught me reading her books, but she realized it was hopeless to keep me away:P)
These days romance is still a favuorite genre, but also expanding into paranormal and fantasy=) One of my favourite authors these last years is Anne Bishop. I completely fell in love with the world and characters in The Black Jewels series, I've read the books several times just to loose myself in that world again=)
Book read:
Date read:15th March 2016

Hi! I'm from Team Star Trek Here's the memory from your team my book connects to:

I read Unhooked (finished March 14th) which is a book heavy on romance. Unfortunately I can't say I liked it very much... My mom also read mostly romance novels and I tended to "steal" some when I was a teenager! Thanks for sharing.
I just finished
. As per usual, I enjoyed it very much. Harry Dresden is a really good series and the main character is a blast, despite being rather grouchy sometimes. And since the book also covers a memory from Team Simpsons, I'm going to head over there now to post a little something in their thread :-)

Has anyone read this book?"
I haven't read it, what did you think about it?
I really wanted to like it and it had all the elements that I like about urban fantasy but it was a 2 Star (just ok) read for me! I was a bit bored tbh :(I'm always on the lookout for new urban fantasy though if there are any reommendations.
I got the book from the library so that could be a connection...I forget which team posted the library as a memory though :(
Pepperpots wrote: "I got the book from the library so that could be a connection...I forget which team posted the library as a memory though :("According to Eldarwen's list in an earlier post at least teams Mario Bros, Princesses, Scooby Doo, Star Trek and Wizard of Oz mention the library in one of their memories=)
Pepperpots wrote: "I got the book from the library so that could be a connection...I forget which team posted the library as a memory though :("Simple solution: go to the thread and check ;-) You can do a simple search by hitting Ctrl+F and search for library if you don't want to read through it all.
Shame that you didn't enjoy the book, Jenny! Not read it either, but I have another book by that author on my TBR. (Which I didn't remember until I checked out the book you mentioned hehe).
Danielle & Jenny - do your books work for a memory by any chance?
Mine was a romance and quite a few memories had romance or maybe Team TMNT in memory After my house was destroyed by fire last year - Fires were set in book?
✼Danielle✼ wrote: "Mine was a romance and quite a few memories had romance or maybe Team TMNT in memory After my house was destroyed by fire last year - Fires were set in book?"That's a little something different for a memory connection, so I'd say, go for it!
Edit: "it" being the fire... (yes, I usually know what I'm thinking but sometimes I don't actually spell it out hehe)
I'll have
finished tomorrow. I'll also be reading

I have just finished my annual re-read of Vision in Silver to refresh me for reading the new book tomorrow. How it connects is that it was also written by Anne Bishop. And it's a series I've re-read several times, so I guess it lines up in a lot of ways! :)

Thank you. I found one:
Team Princesses
"However, my fondest memory is of my mother taking my brother and I to participate in the Summer Reading program at our local library."
I shall go and post my memory there :)
EDIT: here is the link to my post https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Lol Jenny! I see you've been recruiting people for SOS Bingo haha! Like Annika and I did for Uno *grin* Gotta love how the little bookish network on GR works. Same crazy nuts everywhere for the fun games ;-)
hey Team Peanuts, I'm Christina from Team Princesses!I decided I'm gonna read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for one of your memories, since Roald Dahl was mentioned as a favourite in someone's childhood. two years or so ago I read Matilda and absolutely loved it, so I definitely wanted to read more of Roald Dahl. perfect opportunity here, thanks :)
♥ Beatrix Potter and Roald Dahl were the books for my childhood. I'm bedridden so I love that books are an escape that take me to different worlds and lives.

Classic historical romance. ♥
I finished
.Will have to go on the hunt to see if it fits for another memory. The one I initially found has been covered already. Maaaaybe...
Btw, Carol, I snagged another Agathie Christie book off of your read/challenge shelf that you finished on March 10th :-)
Cards we still need to fill:Hand Nine
Wild Draw 4 - can read anything
Wild Draw 4 - can read anything
Hand Ten
Card 4
Wild - can read any book that fits another card
Wild - can read any book that fits another card
Hand Twelve
Card 9
Card 2
Card 6
Hand Thirteen
Card 6
Card 2
So basically, we still have 8 normal cards to read for, 1 reverse, and 4 wild/wild draw 4 cards. And we have almost two weeks left in the month. Doing good, ladies!! :-)
(There are some cards that have already been claimed but the books haven't been finished yet. I haven't included those in this list since they are being read for.)
Also, we have
Completed
1 - First in Series
2 - Hero Surname T, Toussaint
4 - Setting F, France
I don't think it fits any of the memories. I didn't see anything on romantic suspense.
Hmm... Maybe you could make the connection with the first name of the author. Anne Bishop and Anne Rice have been mentioned a few times, I'm just not sure they're in one of the memories that haven't been read for yet.
BOOK COMPLETE
6 - S name Dolph Storr
9 - N name Nikolaos
Memory option if it's needed -
SpongeBob - Guess I loved the book so much I just memorized it;) - reread book so much it's pretty much memorised
It is a good book :-)I still haven't finished the whole series, but I loved the last one I read: Obsidian Butterfly.
I'll use this as reverse since I've read it, that way we have that one covered.
Go for the SpongeBob memory! :-)
