Unfortunately, I did not like this book very much at all. I know some say it's brilliant, but I'm of the opinion that it isn't.

and loved it, but then again, I wasn't really expecting anything else from that series and those authors :-)
It was great and as you say, you know before reading that it should be a fantastic read. I want to try and get in a series reread in before new book later in year.
I'm hoping the new book isn't going to take half a year again to be published in paperback... :-/ It should definitely be interesting!Oh and Ghastek drawing an apple?! I was in fits!! :-D
Cards that still need to be filled for April:1 Wild / Wild Draw 4 cards
(and 1 reserved for Silje who is probably on the brink of finishing another book :-))
Books that still need to be finished for April:
- Elinaly : "Moon Called"
Bingo categories that still need to be completed:
National Sibling Day
⚛ Read a book where the MC has more than one child OR
⚛ Read a book published on the 10th of a month. (The edition you are reading)
National Grilled Cheese Month
⚛ Read a book with food on the cover OR
⚛ Read a book with a chef
⚛ Read a book with an overweight character OR
⚛ Read a book with a character with an eating disorder (any type) OR
⚛ Read a book with a very emotional character
⚛ Read a book with a hat on the cover OR
⚛ Read a book set in the country/farm
Oh, yeah, I finished Insurgent by Veronica Roth on 22. April.Rating: 2 stars
(I liked your review Eldarwen, I felt exactly the same about this book)
I guess you already registered it (hand one) :)
Those bingo options left... unfortunately I don't think this book will fit any. Very emotional character? They all felt so ... sigh.. "flat" to me. Controlling their emotions. Though Tris screamed and cryed and laughed (under the serum of somekind) more than in first book I don't think I can call her very emotional character - or what you think?
I'm going to read an Estonian book next week (will have to finish before the end of April) and its about 4 generations of one Estonian family through the war etc.The MC has to have more than one child (Estonians used to have 8-12 children in family in that time, LOL), so it could cover the National Sibling Day, but I cant be 100% sure before reading the book.
I just finished
and
and they don't fit either.I don't think Mercy is overly emotional. She keeps things bottled up.
Yeah no Insurgent has no emotional characters whatsoever. I was checking my GR friends' reviews earlier for that book and mostly everyone seems to have loved it. I didn't realise there were so few people who didn't enjoy it - on my list anyway. And Mercy is not an overly emotional person either, no. Balanced, is what I'd call her.
Hopefully the Estonian book will work for the Sibling category! :-)
I'm going to start a German book tomorrow and here's hoping it's going to fit one of the remaining categories though there is absolutely no way to be sure until I'm reading it. Maaaaaybe there will be an emotional or overweight character. We'll see!
Also, I replaced Beyond the Highland Mist with one of Danielle's books from the Otherworld series. That book and me just never get together, it's odd. Maaaaaybe next month haha.

Could you put the books onto your uno shelf please? Thanks! :-)
I have finished "Just a Family Affair."BINGO - there are several possibilities. There's a wedding - the groom is one of the main characters. There is beer drinking and there are several emotional characters.

Ooooohh... tell us more about this emotional character! :D
Awesome, thanks Danielle! :-)With Pepperpots' book and yours, we now have three more lines completed on the Bingo!
Elinaly wrote: "I'm so glad we have Danielle! You can count on her! Finds everything a team needs! :)"Seconded! :-)
It's a book full of family drama. Marriages are in trouble, a character has cancer and the family business is in trouble. Someone dies etc. It was OK.

How it fits: Card 2 "T" - MCs are Ceony Twill and Emery Thane.
BINGO: the audio version which I listened was published in September 1st 2014 -> National Walk To Work Day
Oh, I didn't like this book at all. Really liked the idea of the book - idea of material magicians, but soon already in the beginning it all just went straight down the hill for me. The Narrator tried to saved it all, but since the story didn't captivated me, she sounded just like some maniac... Sigh. Glad its over (finished) now.
That's a shame! I've been meaning to read it since it sounded interesting but that definitely doesn't make me want to pick it up any sooner :-/
Yeah, sry :)But maybe you will be amazed by the book... People can have sooo different opinions on the same book.
So you still have to read it soon to find that out ;)
That is true! And I definitely will read it at some point. After I've gone through the stack of books already sitting here waiting to be read :-)

Finished "After You". I don't regret reading it (I was afraid it would ruin the feel of "Me before you"), it was a realistic and surprising way of continuing the story=)
Ladies! You have done brilliantly again this month! We still have 5 days left! And all we have to do is fill the remaining two bingo categories:
⚛ Read a book where the MC has more than one child OR
⚛ Read a book published on the 10th of a month. (The edition you are reading)
National Grilled Cheese Month
⚛ Read a book with food on the cover OR
⚛ Read a book with a chef
And Elinaly needs to finish her Mercy book, which I'm hoping you're enjoying! :-)
Eldarwen wrote: "And Elinaly needs to finish her Mercy book, which I'm hoping you're enjoying! :-) "Yep, the beginning is promising!
Yay Danielle!
In mine estonian book it turned out that the only son the MC had, was even not his... LOL
Only food or chef left? Nice :D
Oh right, I still need to find a tattoo book as well.
sadly doesn't show the tattoo on her arm as the cover goes blurry at that point. Might be a series for you Danielle, if you haven't read it!And yup, only food/chef left now! :-)

It was crazy!!"I came into the Hogwarts theme when Quidditch was already under way, and it was insane o.O I would have loved to play because it sounded fun, but omg, I wouldn't have dared haha. It was so so competitive! And at the time I wasn't reading quite as much as I'm reading in the meantime.
Carnies is fun though :-)
Loving the Carnies, it is so much fun. Makes me read my larger books, instead of putting them off as they are sooo heavy to carry around :)
Haha same here, Carol! I am actually dragging my almost 800 pages book around with me rather than leave it at home as I usually would have done. But it's definitely a good incentive to read larger books for a change. I have honestly missed that!
