I love Georgette Heyer and have read and loved all her books. For people new to her work, which would be the best book to start with?

These Old Shades, then The Devil's Cub

I recommend you start with Cotillion by Georgette Heyer , Frederica by Georgette Heyer , The Grand Sophy by Georgette Heyer and These Old Shades (Alastair, #1) by Georgette Heyer

I love SPRIG MUSLIN.

I really enjoyed Slightly Dangerous, Slightly Dangerous - and the "sequel" about Christine's sister Eleanor - Once upon a dream Once Upon A Dream (Bedwyn Saga, #6.5) by Mary Balogh

and also by Georgette Heyer - Frederica is my biggest favourite by far; an enthralling story, with "Modern inventions". Frederica by Georgette Heyer
