Never heard that expression either, but I'm going to try to remember it. It's hilarious!

Well, I didn't get any reading done this morning. ADE is not working for me on two different computers. I even tried a couple of different versions. And of course Adobe has zero customer service. Looks like my future purchases for awhile will be DRM free only. Of course, I've got 1600+ books to choose from so I don't think I'll run out anytime soon.
Finished Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen today. I try to get a classic in every now and then.

I finished up with "Firestorm Forever" by the lovely Deborah Cooke. Smashing finished to the series! Now I think I'll start "Daughter of Deep Silence" by Carrie Ryan, this is a different genre than Carrie Ryan normally does, her other books were about Zombies. But I loved those. So happy to give her new book a try.
Now reading "A God in Ruins," a companion novel to Kate Atkinson's "Life After Life," which was my favorite read of 2014.
Oh ladies both good choices, I'm about halfway through JT Ellison's What Lies Behind
one more for pleasure book before I get to my September reviews will be Paula Brackston's upcoming

It sounds good. I like stories that reveal both the past and present.

I downloaded the first Outlander book. Got it for $5 which I thought was pretty good. No reading yet for me this weekend, awful headache today.
I'm in that "What do I read now?"-state that often comes after reading a really great book. I'm trying out "A God in Ruins" this weekend. I loved "Life after Life" and this is a companion novel.

Well it's Friday again I'll be posting the reading schedule for our July book club read, The Martian sometime this weekend. I did invite Andy to join us but he's unfortunately not able to, but I'm sure we'll have a grand time none the less.
I'm just starting my September editorial reviews but will take a break this weekend to read
For my in-person meeting on Monday night
What's on your reading list this weekend!

I'm digging into "Shards of Hope" by Nalini Singh. A long running series this one. And each book just keeps getting better and better.
Then I might start "In the Air Tonight" by Lori Handeland. First in her new witch series.
Funny thought though, every time I read the title of the book I start singing, in the air tonight by Phil Collins, lol.

That's too funny I was thinking that very thing as I was interviewing Lori. You can see our chat if you'd like to-http://www.thereadingfrenzy.blogspot....

Right now I'm planning to. I think the family is going to be out of town for a few days so I might get to read at home.

I'm still in a "What do I read now?" funk, I think. I started reading "A God in Ruins" but haven't been getting really into it, yet. Maybe it's an end-of-school-year depression? My son turns 13 on Sunday (in about an hour) and then the summer kicks off for reals!Too much stress... I need to get into the gym!
Reading "Birthdays For The Dead" by Stuart MacBride. A dark, intense thriller!
Ruth, know how that can be. Let the summer begin maybe then you'll settle down and happy b-day to your son!
TarHeelGirl I love those kinds of reads, I do intent to prefer women authors in that genre. Even though they tend to be more diabolical their plot is usually easier to digest. I've never tried McBride though maybe I will

The crimes in his books are rather violent and disturbing, but he balances it with great characters and humor. I also LOVE learning all the words and phrases used by the Irish!

Currently reading Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell (a favorite author of mine) and Elvis and Ginger: Elvis Presley's Fiancée and Last Love Finally Tells Her Story by Ginger Alden. My mother-in-law is a huge Elvis fan and wanted the book as a gift, so since I knew she'd want to discuss the book with me, I decided to read it before I gave it to her! :)

I just started "In the Air Tonight" by Lori Handeland.Sing along with me now... I can feel it coming in the air tonight, I've been waiting for this moment for all my life... :) lol!
Now I'm hearing that song in my head!
Glad someone else has it stuck in their brain. I've only just started the book, seems alright so far. Did you read it Debbie? I went and checked out your interview with Lori.

Well it's Friday again so what's reading boys and girls?
I just got elected to go on a road trip w/my daughter next weekend. I'd rather have a tooth removed then travel anywhere but it will be nice to have some one on one time with her.
I'll be reading my review requirements this weekend my HQN series and one upcoming Carla Neggers novel in her Donovan & Sharpe series

One of the guys at work has given me Gordon Ramsay's Biography to read. So what the hey, I'll give it a whirl! Only just started, and it is interesting so far. Although a few of the phrases he uses are lost on me. Guess because I'm not British.

Especially when he whinges throughout the book on how chef's treated him during his early career.

I've started reading the first Outlanderbook by Diana Gabaldone, and also watching the rest of the TV series. All the scottish language has me laughing, like "dinna fash" (don't fuss) and "you ken" (you know) my best friend from highscool parents were Scottish i can understand their accent better these days than what i could back then. It is a big book though!
