Foreman Paris' February Challenge
On February 14, 1929, the Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre took place in Chicago, where seven members of a rival gang were gunned down by mobsters dressed as policemen. Instead of hearts and flowers and love and all that stuff, I wanted to do something different for my February Foreman challenge. Spend February finding books that have mobsters, gang members or police officers in them. Of course there can be hearts and flowers and love in them too, but at least one of the characters has to be a cop or a member of the mob or of a gang.
Pick a level and then pick your books. Re-reads are allowed, there are no page limits or restrictions. Variations of law enforcement are allowed (IE: FBI, Homeland Security, CIA, etc), same with mobs or gangs (IE: outlaws, motorcycle club), but they do have to be true bad guys. A dance mob would not be allowed, nor would a gang like “Our Gang” aka The Little Rascals work since they aren’t bad guys, even if they are bad dancers or bad kids.
