Unfortunately I had two weeks of exams so all January I had to revise :( . I only got finished : The knife of never letting go, I think its ok as it had some fantastic parts but two parts spoiled it all!At the moment I'm reading: confessions of a murder suspect book one, I got it from my reading club seems good so far.
Can't wait to read more in February
The Last Day of a Condemned Man by Victor Hugo. This was probably the best book I read in January. It really challenged my views on capital punishment.
So far I've read 13, hope to get a few more in before January endsI was disappointed and expected more from The Nightingale
Other books poorly received - Mermen, but it was fun to do a buddy read with that one so it still ended up a good experience.
Favorite has been the Harry Potter books I've been reading - Started with Chamber of secrets and am on Half-Blood Prince right now. Also Clean Sweep by Ilona Andrews, what a fun start to a series.
I've had a great reading start as I've already read 6 books this month: Ignite Me by Mafi, all 3 books of the Hogwarts Library, Out of the Easy by Sepetys, and A Discovery of Witches by D. Harkness (which is my fav book so far this year), plus I'm hoping to finish Shadow of Night by the end of the month too :)
I'm way behind my usual number by this time. I reread The Odyssey and finally read The Last of the Mohicans.
I also read Shards of Honor, the first in a scifi series. It was quite good and surprisingly the author's first novel. That's it. Three.
I'll finish A Question of Upbringing by the end of the month for four, but I'm already way behind my goal. BooHoo. At least they were all really enjoyable reads. :)

I'm proud to say I started my reading strong with 16 books and over 5,000 pages, well over my average for a month's time. My first month was spread out fairly evenly between exciting reads and duds. My favorite book of the month was The Diviners and I would also recommend Me Before You.
I have read 15 books and they have all been pretty good reads. My fave for the month was A Head Full of Ghosts
