The Fiends have broken loose because Garrett is giving them his blood and are becoming aware. They are pissed off and Betsy has to find a way to calm them down and not get everyone killed.

The Heir (The Selection, #4) by Kiera Cass
By:Kiera Cass
Pages: 342
Finished: 2.25.15
Rating: 2 stars
How it fits: #4 in Selection series

Review:

This book is what happens when an author tries to extend a story out without adding anything interesting. The Selection series is basically the Bachelor in a mild distopia. This changes things up by making it the Bachlorette in an even milder distopia, where the progeny of the first selection couple (and future queen) goes through a whole different selection for PR reasons. It took be about two pages to be bored, and nothing recaptured the beach read fun of the previous books (which I think should have been condensed anyway). I've officially given up on this series.

Review: I really liked this non-fiction book. It followed the story of several British women who married American soldiers in the war, and followed them to a new home. I thought the stories were well selected and interesting, although they were a weighted a bit on the sad/unsuccessful marriage side. The only thing I didn't like was the nesting of the stories was sometimes a bit jolting, but that was due to me listening to the book, and would have been fine if I were reading an could actually see the chapter breaks.

How it fits more than one person on the cover
This was such a fantastic Book, I've had it forever, not sure why it took me so long to read.
I really liked Jacqueline, especially how she handled things, every situation, I think she handled with pride. A lot of these books when the girl is at this age, college-age, she sometimes does not in my opinion have enough self worth, but I thought Jacqueline definitely did. I also really liked Lucas, even though I think he Catha a lot of secrets, I think he was generally a really good guy. Both of them together was really nice to read about.
Definitely going to give the next book in the series a go!

This books stars 5 years after “Last Dragon Standing”. The characters is at war with the Iron dragons.

Vigholf the Abhorrent has this crazy idea to protect Rhona. He was born in a place where men should fight and women be safe at home with kids.

Rating: The last two installments of the Old Man's War series have been novels comprised of smaller interlocking stories. It allows for some interesting plot devices, and narratives, but for some reason I don't enjoy it as much as the prior books. Still, Old Man's War is an fun universe to explore, and I enjoy the books and Scalzi's writing a lot.

How it fits fifth book in series

This was probably my favorite book in the series. It definitely touched on some deeper subject matter than the other books in the series, and I think it was handled well, and still kept the humor.
Connor was such a fabulous guy, he really wanted everything to work out for him. Jessica had it rough, and you could understand why she was the way she was. I liked her relationship with her brother, and I liked how Connor took the time to really get to understand that relationship.
Who is next in the series??? It can't be over ....

Review:

When I was 11-14 I marathoned a ton (and I mean a TON) of classic mysteries. Unfortunately, this has resulted in me always knowing who "did it", usually right after the character has been introduced, and always before the middle of the book. In this book, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were more things to guess at, and more interesting character reveals, than the identity of the killer. Also, the narrator had just the right amount of mystery and issues, without being so unreliable you wonder why you are even reading this thing (see Girl on the Train).

I'm definitely becoming a hockey fan with all these books! Zack is a good guy who has suffered a major tragedy, and he has an adorable little boy. Kate is probably one of the most likable female characters I've read in a very long time. She is my new book BFF! Together they really work, and I like the pacing of the relationship. I started at book 3 in the series, I'm going to backtrack to Alex.

This is a classic fatasy book that I've been meaning to read for awhile. It tells the story of a celebrated swordsman and his lover (who has a mysterious past) in a fantasy city were nobles hire swordsmen to challenge and kill other nobles (legally). I really wanted to love this book, and I did think it was interesting, but something about the writing didn't quite click. I'm still trying to decide if I want to read the other books in the series.

How it fits standalone
This was a very appropriate title for this book, it was filled with grace, and filled with ordinary people. Ordinary people like Frank and Jake kids who went through the worst summer of their lives, suffering some pretty big tragedies and topped up with a major tragedy then comes in the grace, they learn to forgive, they learn to continue to live, and ultimately they learned faith. This was a quiet book with a loud message.

review:
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I did not want it to end. It is a very quick read. There is no heavy romance or sex in this book making it ideal for younger readers, but a well written story for adults as well.

Honoria lost her parents in the 911 attacks. Her aunt and uncle move her and her brother to a small farming town named "Arnn". There is an area in "Arnn" called "Witchwood Hollow" which everyone tells her not to go in or your won't come out.

The book time travels back and forth between 2001, 1800's and 1600's, telling different stories of three different girls lives and winding them together in the end.

Book Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men (Jane Jameson, #2) by Molly Harper 3/31⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
How it fits second in the series
Molly Harper's books are definitely better on audio, because I love the narrator she usually uses. This is definitely a character driven book, with really not much of a plot, but the characters are so fun it makes up for lack of plot. Jane is awesome, and I really also like Andrea and Zeb. Gabriel is a little sketchy, but I guess he is a vampire. Also the bridesmaid dress she had to wear, you could just picture it, and I love that it was a tradition in the werewolf a culture to have ugly bridesmaid dresses on purpose, so the bride looks better. I will definitely read the rest of the books in the series when I want a laugh, a little quick getaway.
