Review
I am a big fan of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. I read the first of The League series and didn't really enjoy it but wanted to give the series another chance.
I liked Syn he was an interesting character and like a lot of Kenyon's characters he had a heartbreaking back story. He grew on me through the book, unfortunately the opposite was true of Sahara, she annoyed me more and more as I read. I just couldn't get why Syn would want anything to do with her.
Not a favourite series, not sure if I will read on.

Adrien is as ever a magnet for trouble. He is meant to be recovering from his heart surgery but a another mystery finds him. The construction on the building adjoining the book store unearths a body and Adrien 's interest in the 50 year old murder makes him contact Jake.
I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about the last book in the series. I love Adrien but I hate Jake. I was pretty sure my opinion of him wouldn't change. I liked that Adrien was cautious that it wasn't an easy decision what to do with his life. For once we could see that Jake really does care for Adrien , it doesn't excuse all the terrible things he said and did but it did make you think they could make it together and Jake would finally start treating Adrien the way he deserved.
I enjoyed seeing how both characters had grew and that Adrien was fitting in with his new family.

This one takes up pretty much where the first book finishes. Boone is back home in Albuquerque and missing Wade back in Summit City,
Boone tells his friends and family about Wade and their 6 month deal. Most of his friends are happy for him but his best friend Gabe finds it hard to accept.
I did like seeing how things progressed with them and the way their relationship grew. Boone's parents are hysterical and I love Jackie and the quads. I found the bits from Boone's book at the start of each section really annoying.

As usual for Pepper Winters' books, they are stories about damaged characters and these are very dark books. I love them.

And add to the mix that Lucy, Cassandra’s best friend, lied to Julian about Cassandra’s real name.

This book focuses on Fox Shiter Heather Allen and Grizzly Bear James "Barney" Barnwell ,the smart mouth Hunter we first met in the Halle Pumas series.
Heather is still getting over the attack on her as a child and is working at Cynful Tattoos with the rest of the girls. Barney is working on the White Shifters case and is scared to claim his mate in fear of making her a bigger target.
In this book we learn a lot more of the back story and the bigger picture of what goes on but of course there are still plenty of questions left unanswered. I am not sure who will be the focus of the next book. I would love to read Kincaid's story or Jamie and Hope.

Review: I don't normally read NA/YA but I'm so glad I read this book. Kiersten is a freshman and Wes, a senior, who she literally runs into. He is her RA and takes her under his wing. Of course, they fall for each other but Wes has a huge secret. He has always been a player and now is a perfect gentleman with Kiersten. I did figure out pretty early what is going on and kept urging Wes to tell her...just tell her... This book does require a box of tissues close by. I'll definitely read on in the series.

I am slowly getting through this series. This one features anther member of the Keltar Clan. this time Cian MacKeltar who has been trapped in an Unseelie Hallow for over 1100 years. The mirror he is trapped in is stolen and finds it way to Archaeology PHD student Jessica St. James.
Cian can gain his freedom in less than 3 weeks if Jessica can help him keep the mirror away from the dark sorcerer Lucan.
The series is a bit samey and this follows pretty much in the same vein, dark, attractive highlander finds his true mate, some drama and then dramatic happy ending.
Enjoyable enough read.

I love this series but this has been my least favourite so far, Things are changing in the world. The Humans First and Last HFL are becoming bolder and The Others are trying decide how much Human to keep.
Meg is trying to learn how to control her prophecy and to make them with cutting. I love her interactions with Simon.
I love this series but this has been my least favourite so far, It was a bit repetitive and drawn out and lacked any really drama despite everything going on, it was all so stretched it was very anticlimactic in the end.. It was weak for this series but still a great read.

In addition Kip Lunceford is back making trouble again. His sister shows up in town asking for help getting away from her psycho brother. This was a good addition to the series.
