I'm keeping my fingers crossed too that we'll get into the thirties! I have my book #3 ready to go.

Review:
This series is one that every time I read the next book in the series it makes me want to binge read. I really should too since I have the whole series. We get back into this one with Jayne and the crew down in New Orleans and anyone that knows me knows my love for anything New Orleans related. I think this book was better than the first one as we got to see more of the group working together and lots of feelings and revelations happen in this one. I have to say one bombshell threw me for a loop and shocked me but I should have seen the clues beforehand.

This still my favorite in the series. Love the back and forth between Slater and Jude. This what I love in enemies to lovers book. Liv is still too much and Im still confused by his character. It ended in a damn cliffhanger and I'm still waiting for the sequel that may never come.

How it Fits 3rd in series
So I decided to finish of the Slammed series. Wow…I probably would have enjoyed this more if I would have read these books as she released instead of within a couple of months. The majority of the book it was a recap of what happened in the first book from Will’s POV. I got tired of each chapter starting in the present, then going to the past after Lake asked him a question. It got repetitive and there were only a few chapters that I really like with Will talking about the past because it wasn’t something that was mentioned in the first book. I did like the last couple of chapters stayed in the present and coming back home seeing their family and friends also the final slam. For me, this could have easily been done in a novella and not as many recaps.

Gunpowder Green by Laura Childs
Date finished: 03/03/16
How it fits: Text item "bag" on pg. 86: Kind of like creating a miniature tea bag.

Review: Theodosia Browning runs a local tea shop in high society Charleston, North Carolina. She is catering a yacht race when Oliver Dixon is killed by an antique gun exploding when he tried to fire it to end the race. Thinking herself an amateur sleuth after clearing a former employee of suspicion in a murder recently, Theo is curious and starts making inquiries into whether this was an accident or murder. Fred Cantrell is a prime suspect after having been seen arguing with Dixon shortly before he died, but Cantrell's sister insists that he is innocent and asks Theodosia to help clear his name. This was a fairly standard but enjoyable cozy mystery full of different types of tea. I am a tea drinker, but I don't really taste much difference in them, so it would be interesting to try some of the blends mentioned and see if I really like any of them. It was curious that only one person is ever mentioned as paying for their tea and scones when they go to Theo's Indigo Tea Shop. Made me wonder how that works -- is it like a restaurant with a bill at the end? They kept letting people "try" teas, so what exactly do they charge for? Maybe that is explained in the first book in this series. I'll have to read that some time.

Review:
This was a quick and fun read and one that enjoyed very much. I loved the whole concept of the Meep world and Nixy's job as a Leveller. She basically gets hired by parents to go into the virtual world and pull their kids out when they have been in too long. It was a really unique and cool concept for for a book and I found myself hooked pretty early on. Nixy is pretty good at what she does until she gets the case of her life. There were a few moments where I wasnt sure how this would all play out but I am really looking forward to book 2.

I'm trying. This is a really bad week for me. My daughter was attacked and I am dealing with death threats against our entire family. I am only at 37% and I usually read 2 books minimum a day (I started this one on the 1st).

And I'm not sure... I need to get it finished, I know, but it'll be a real struggle. What happens if I don't get it finished?

Maddison we will have to wait until everyone is finished before we can roll.
Thanks, Ladies. We are hanging in there. I am frustrated and I can't focus because I am so worried about my daughter. She is sleeping in her closet at night because she is so scared. Gonna go try to read a little bit.

I love this series. Lizzie is an accidental demon slayer. She is still learning how to use her powers and to trust in herself. I love her talking dog, Pirate. I really enjoyed the part where Pirate wanted to keep the baby dragon as a pet. I could just picture the dog leading the dragon around on a leash- LOL. I am definitely looking forward to the next book.

This one took me a lot longer to read than expected. Almost a week, which frustrated me seeing as I let my team down for my team challenge. I hope not to need to do that again.
To be honest, the main character, Cassie, just really annoys me. She just whines allll the tiiiiime and says 'oh no, can't do that or it'll really hurt this person, so I just won't', and then she goes and contradicts herself by saying 'oh I can't keep it from her, I need to tell her', and then she doesn't! Gosh it just really bugs me! One thing I did like though was (view spoiler) That was nice :) I didn't like how (view spoiler) but I did like how (view spoiler) I was surprised that (view spoiler) but he did always seem weak. I'm glad I read this book, and plan to continue the series.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Alternately, we can read a Fairy Tale Retelling.

I'm on page 50 of my current book, and I should get it done by Friday, I'm hoping. It's quite bit, totalling like 460 pages, but I'll try my best.
I plan to read Don't Judge a Girl by Her Cover since it is book 3 in the series. I will be starting it either tonight or tomorrow. I bought a security camera which has given me a little peace of mind so now I can focus a bit better.

This series just gets better and better. Cammie is a spy at the Gallagher School for Exceptional Girls. I love how the parents don't even know that their girls are being trained as spies. They have pictures and walls that flip around when non-gallagher girls visit the school. I love how the girls in this school are smart as can be but also able to kick butt when necessary. Of course, the book left some unanswered questions so the next book in the series is set up. I am looking forward to more of Cammie and her friends sneaking out on their own secret missions.

Review: This is a Christian fiction series about the Rapture, and this book picks up the story with Hattie sneaking on a flight to get to Nicolae, Floyd sick, Leah joining the Tribulation Force, Chloe balancing raising newborn Kenny while running a co-op business for believers, and Mac & David working for Nicolae and spying on him for the Tribulation Force. It was interesting to see the author's interpretations of the horses of death and the witnesses being resurrected, and the action did keep me interested, but I'm getting a tiny bit tired of this story, and I want the series to hurry up and end! But there are 13 books in this series! Thirteen! Why, Tim Lahaye, why? That means I'm only halfway through. Oh boy, I don't know if I can make it through all 13. It's just starting to feel too dragged out now.
