Even got some of the ones I had read one. I don't tend to remember the first line of a book unless it is famous like Pride and Prejudice. I also got the Virginia Woolf one right as I read that very recently. The rest were guesses!

message 60: by Beth (new)

Beth (rosewoodpip) 14/17. For most of these, I either haven't read the books, or it was so long ago I'd have no recollection of their first sentences, or the first sentences are so famous they're hard to not know ((view spoiler)) so all this really shows is that my guessing skills from standardized test days are still working!

message 61: by Mark (new)

Mark André 12/17 above average? - )

message 62: by ALLEN (new)

ALLEN | 622 comments 13/17 -- was doing all right until I missed the last four.
But as others have said, the "Multiple guess" format helped a little.

Michele | 935 comments 13 of 17, woohoo!

message 64: by ALLEN (new)

ALLEN | 622 comments I'm wondering if Buzzfeed deigned to tell us what a median score is, and what an above-average score would be?

Maggie the Muskoka Library Mouse (mcurry1990) 12/17. Not bad, considering I haven't read even a dozen of the titles to choose from!

Wreade1872 | 943 comments 15/17 :D .

Of the ones i got right i'd read 6 and i think i heard a couple more on quizs . Some good guesswork for the rest :) .

Edit: Only guessed wrong on the Rosenbergs and Happy Families. The Happy Families one's annoying as i'm sure i heard that before but still got it wrong.

message 69: by Melanie (new)

Melanie 10 out of 17. I got out of my depth towards the end, lol.

RJ - Slayer of Trolls (hawk5391yahoocom) | 943 comments 10 out of 17 for me too. I actually missed The Great Gatsby which I read just a few years ago. Arrgh.
