Robin (robinmy) | 1389 comments I haven't updated my reading in a while. This week I read Breaking Point (Troubleshooters, #9) by Suzanne Brockmann Breaking Point by Suzanne Brockmann. I can't get enough of this series.

My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

After that one, I read Hotwire (Maggie O'Dell, #9) by Alex Kava Hotwire by Alex Kava. It was a quick read, but I still have problems with the heroine.

My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Today I finished Let Sleeping Rogues Lie (School for Heiresses, #4) by Sabrina Jeffries Let Sleeping Rogues Lie by Sabrina Jeffries. Cute book, but far too many secrets.

I put everything on hold for Slaughter's The Kept Woman (Will Trent, #8) by Karin Slaughter ! The prologue is stunning...what a brilliant writer. On pins & needles until I finish this one.

message 1016: by Jeanette (new)

Jeanette (jenb_73) | 159 comments Okay.... Since I am a slower reader, I have decided to pursue reading some of the noms for October BOM. A couple of them had a waiting list from the library for downloads. One I have downloaded and have started is Close Your Eyes (Kendra Michael, #1) by Iris Johansen . I also have The Apprentice (Rizzoli & Isles, #2) by Tess Gerritsen downloaded since I enjoyed the last one. Yikes! Ya'll have me hooked! I'm not very up-to-date on the discussions but love the reading.

I know what you mean, Sheri. I'm on a much needed vacation with my husband - it's great, but I am dying to finish this book! I just want to bury my head in it and not come out until I finish. Slaughter is, as always, very intense.

Sheri - I'm about 50% and omg. You're so right - so far, it is so intense that I have to put it down once in awhile and just take a deep breath. I love a lot of series, especially dark, emotional ones - but Slaughter is the queen of the genre to me.

message 1022: by Sheri (new)

Sheri Morell (smorell22) | 2165 comments I feel the same way Sandra, she is one of the best. I to have to take a breather at times and as you get closer the end the intensity is amplified.

I finally wrote my review of The Kept Woman (Will Trent, #8) by Karin Slaughter . My Review

This is a series that must, without a doubt, be read in order. My recommendation would be to read the Grant County series first and then work your way through this one. Brilliant writing and story!
