What are you reading in 2016?

I think I've heard a couple of others comment that they were having trouble getting through it also. That's a shame. I am still waiting for a copy from the library...I'm not worried about getting it now.

You know, it happens once in awhile - a book that you anticipated to be pretty good disappoints you. If it was bothering me that much, I'd just dnf it and move on.

Lol, Sandra!

Sandra - It's one of those books where you have struggled and gotten to the point you have to see how it plays out!

Quite the reading machine, you! Good slate of books, Sheri. I've got Fatal Frenzy on my plan this month.

I finished listening to The Bay At Midnight by Diane Chamberlain and while I liked the story, one of the narrators, Julie McKay, had a highly annoying affectation. Whenever she had to say, "he/she said," she would separate it from the sentence and draw out "sa-aid" as if it were a question. It was extremely distracting, which is such a shame because otherwise, the performance of all three narrators was fine. 3.5 stars and here's my review.
I'm now listening to Thief of Shadows by Elizabeth Hoyt, narrated by Ashford Mcnab.

I understand that too. There's just so many great books out there that I struggle with making myself finish something that isn't holding my attention.

That scares me a little...heartbreaking??

I didn't cry when I read it. It was very poignant in the way it began. I think you can read it now unless you were wanting to save it for closer to the release date of the next one.
I finished What Was Mine by Helen Klein Ross (not in a series) and it was really good, perfect for a book discussion. Here's my review.
I'm now reading Fatal Frenzy by Marie Force, Fatal #9.

Sheri...I am about 65% into Whispers (listening to on audio) and if it wasn't audio I don't know if I could make it all the way through. I am hoping to finish tonight
