Robin (robinmy) | 1389 comments I can't believe the month is half over and I've only finished two books.

I read Taking the Heat (O'Neil Brothers #3) by Kathryn Shay Taking the Heat by Kathryn Shay. This book tackles what happens to a relationship when one person works a dangerous job.

My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I also read Into the Night (Troubleshooters, #5) by Suzanne Brockmann Into the Night by Suzanne Brockmann. This is a good continuation of the Troubleshooter series, but not my favorite.

I really enjoyed it; not a romance, but science fiction or more that genre. 4.5 stars.

Olivia "So many books--so little time."" | 29 comments Currently I'm reading The Associate by John Grisham. A law school graduate is blackmailed into committing corporate espionage at the huge legal firm at which he works. So far it's been a page-turner.

Kirsten (kmcripn) Just finished listening to Emma Thompson's incredible performance of The Turn of the Screw by Henry James. Emma really outdid any other narration of this. She kept the tension in this story going up and up.

Turn of the Screw is one of those stories that I adore, being a huge fan of gothic fiction. However, Mr James is very wordy and can nearly lose you.

Sheri Morell (smorell22) | 2165 comments Today I finished reading the Dr Charlotte Stone Series by The Last Time I Saw Her Karen Robards. It was different from what I was use to. the whole ghost thing almost turned me away from the series but I have to say I am glad that I finished it. Was not expecting how it ended but overall I did enjoy the series.

Now I am starting Kill Me Twice The Bullet Catcher series. This series sounds pretty interesting. Just got the first two books from the library. Only time will tell. If I enjoy it then I will probably read one a month to go with all my other monthly reads.

Wow. This book is incredible and I did not see the twist at the end coming. But be warned this is at the least a 6 kleenex cry at the end.

It's been a long time since I read a book where I wanted to go back to page 1 and start over. But I really would like to do that with this one.

Kirsten (kmcripn) Just finished reading Illuminae (The Illuminae Files, #1) by Amie Kaufman Illuminae by Amie Kaufman, part of the Goodreads Choice Awards challenge.

Really enjoyed it. Great adventure. But the format can be annoying for someone with impaired eyesight. I wonder if it would've been better as an audio without all the visual tidbits they give you in the book.

I've also finished Taming the Alpha, Claiming His Mate, Tempting His Mate, Saving His Mate, and To Catch His Mate by Savannah Stuart. Next I'm starting Bunny and the Bear by Eve Langlais.
