My Review: "Second Service Box Set" https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... Highest recommendation I can give. Just fantastic and entertaining light reading
Loving You At Christmas (a holiday novella): Shellwater Key Tales by Kristin WallaceA second chance novella. Former Broadway actress and now widow Annaliese Mathersen is not interested in love again, always comparing men to her late husband. Although she does find pro football wide receiver John-Luke (Duke) Evan nice eye candy. Duke is raising his 4 nieces and now one of them is trying out for the Christmas pageant that Annaliese has been pushed into running this year. Annaliese is busy with the pageant, dealing with the towns family bullies and her attraction to Duke. The story and characters are well defined, believable and lovable. A wonderful story of love, romance, forgiveness, family and new beginnings. A wonderful holiday story that makes you feel good inside, shed a couple of tears and go AWWWWW!. Another great addition to the Shellwater Keys series. 5 stars
*I was given a free copy and this is my honest review.
Angels All Over Town by Luanne Rice in paperbacke of the authors first books. Not one of my favorites. The book was all over the place regarding the three sisters, their husbands, mates, boyfriends, whatever. Her romantic descriptions were not very refined. The sisters were so dysfunctional and led obscure lives. The book tried to address issues of sibling rivalry, alcoholism, abuse, loss of parents. Una's sex life was rather crude and made her out to be more loose than I believe the author wanted her to be. I NEVER give up on an author from reading some of their first works. She has evolved so wonderfully and I have enjoyed many of her later books. 2 1/2 stars
Driving Miss Crazyby D.J. Van Oss on KindleSuch a delightful, sweet, funny, romance story. All the characters were so entertaining. I loved the banter and dialogue between them all. I found myself going Awwww and laughing out loud at times. The squirrels cracked me up. I found it hard to put down it was so much fun. I am so looking forward to the other stories in the series. The only downfall on Kindle, was there many errors. But happily to say, it didn't distract from the true fun. 5 stars

I just finished reading Honest Illusions
and loved it. The story was very good, but the best part for me, was all the stage magic! I wish there were more novels about stage magic.
To the Time of the Highlander on KindleGreat read! I read this as an ARC for Audrey Adair and I was hooked. This is the 3rd and last in the series, but from reading it, it can be read on its own. I just loved the romance, time travel and how all the characters came together. This isn't the usual historic romance with just the teasing and sex. She does a very wonderful job in describing the customs and ways of the time. Add in time travel and it is a very romantic, soul searching, intriguing story. After my holiday readings are finished, I am going back and reading the first two in the series. A short read, and one I had a hard time putting down. 5 stars

A Conall Christmas by Bethany Claire on KindelI have not read the others in the series, but I thoroughly enjoyed this novella. I want to read the others. A fine historical romance-time travel story. The characters are strong and well defined and this is a heartwarming story. Lots of family, love, romance and magic. I loved how the author had the characters going in and out of different times. So fun! 5 stars

Christmas Promises: A Hiatt Regency Classics novella Novella by Brenda Hiatt on KindleA fast reading novella leading up to The Christmas Bride. Lord Vandover has promised his grandmother that when he comes back from London he will bring home a bride. He encounters a lovely Holly Paxton. Not only is she beautiful, she is bright, has many interests other than embroidery and menial tasks. She has a great love for life and is determined to make Lord Vandover smile and laugh. Not an easy task. The Lord's stepmother is not happy about this courtship and will end at nothing to stop it. Although they have not known each other long, Lord Vandover has asked Holly to marry him. It was such a delightful prelude to the book itself. The characters were so sweet and reading of the holiday festivities and watching both main characters transform was wonderful. I am looking forward to reading The Christmas Bride. 5 stars

I finished Last Man Standing by Cindy Gerard, Black Ops, Inc. #7, and loved the true series ending. It sets up the spinoff nicely. Here’s my review.
I finished up the series with the super short Dying to Score, #7.5. Not sure why she wrote this one (probably just for the anthology it originally appeared in) but it was pretty exciting. Here’s my review.
I’m now reading Pick Your Poison by Roxanne St. Claire, Bullet Catchers #8.5.

My monthly-ish update :D Don't have a lot of time these days so haven't really been able to do reviews. But still, if you're looking for some ideas - here are 4 and 5 star reads I'd recommend that I've read the past month and a half or so... :)
I know there were a few more but GR's read dates are missing/messed up so it's been a bit hard to wade through :(
Still, hope you enjoy if you decide to check the ones above out :)
Naked in DeathI bought a paperback copy several months ago & just started reading it last night lol. I had to finish Melissa Foster's Melissa Foster Bradens at Trusty mini series 1st. I'm very ocd about books & reading them in their intended order. I think Freud classified that type of behavior as 'anal retentive.' lol I may have to add a book of his onto my TBR list as well haha

The Christmas Bargain by Shanna Hatfield on KindleLuke was collecting an over due loan when the drunken, abusive father gives his daughter Philemena(Filly) Booth for pay. Leaving her at the pastors home to get proper care, it was suggested by his friend and pastor that he marry her to make it proper. It would be mostly a marriage of convenience, and if it didn't work out, they could get an annulment, but both grow fond of each other. This is a beautiful love story where the ugly duckling is really a beautiful swan. I finished this book in one day. A book for a cold night sitting by a fire with a hot cup of cocoa. 5 stars
Christmas Kisses by Cynthia Clement on KindleFor eleven years Charles, the Earl of Stratton has been running away from guilt and battle fatigue. In this day and age PSTD. He has horrendous nightmares and memories. Helen already lost her brother in battle. When Charles returns home for the holidays and ignores her, she feels she has lost the only man she has ever loved. This is a beautiful love story that deals with romance, second chances, family and living with PSTD. For as short story, it was wonderful and I read it in one afternoon. 5 stars

Pain, hurt and anger are still there when she see's him. Ronnie's Secret Santa has her running around town finding a written message in a gift box. This was a fun, holiday romance novella. I read it in just a couple of hours. I did figure it out in the middle of the story, but it was fun. 5 stars
In Time For Christmas by Mona Risk on KindleFor Dr. Sylvia Reynolds, getting home to her families Christmas celebration goes from a nightmare to the most magical time in her life. James Alexander is in charge of his niece while his brother is deployed overseas. Trying to get Clem to her grandmothers has found Sylvia falling (literally) over James and Clem and James reassessing his life. Snow, airports, Christmas magic, a sweet little girl and romance made this a wonderful holiday read. How fun! 5 stars

listening to
and barnes and noble happened to have been having a sale, so I ordered a few nora books. I am still stuck in the 80's, but I am atleast in 1984 with some of the books. I had decided some time ago to print the list, highlight what I had read so far, then start at the beginning. Are we doing the 1000 books by nora again next year? I will have a good collection to start with if we are.
Britney wrote: "Read as much as I could stand of

Christmas With the Cat Lady on KindleBeing a "cat lady" myself I very much enjoyed this holiday romance novella. Josh has went to the Pocono Mountains to escape the holiday noise and celebrations of the big city and to finish his novel. The holidays bring traumatic memories for Josh so getting involved with his book is just the right recipe. But his new temporary landlord loves the holidays, her cats and her solitude. She has painful memories of her own she has had to work through. She loves to cook for Josh and is a miracle that John needed. A very fun, romantic read. 5 stars
Loving Winter: Clean Wholesome Mystery and Romance by Lyn Cote on KindleIn Steadfast Wisconsin, Winter is wondering who is vandalizing her nursery before the holidays and why. Clay is the local High School coach who's sister who is currently living with him is helping out Winter after Winter fell and broke her foot. Winter is a free spirit where Clay is very reserved and forever saying the wrong things. Clay finds out the more he is around Winter, the more he is relaxing, realizing she isn't interested in him just because of his looks and his football stature, and realizing she is someone he wants in his life. Living in Wisconsin, I could relate to the places she writes about. A very fun, clean, wholesome holiday short story. I look forward to reading more of the series. 5 stars
