What Are You Reading, Nora and Beyond?

Hot romance, nail biting suspense
My Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Anna Lowe
She has a few series. It seems like the oldest one is the Twins of Moon Ranch series.
There is a prior book to book #1 that I think was really well done. Here are links to both:

And I think Aloha Shifters is her newest series (and the first book by the author I came across before I decided to back track through her older stuff):

The new series has a lot of potential and am looking forward to reading my way through her books. Most (if not all of her books) are free through Kindle Unlimited.

Philip Kincaid finds the town of Friendly not so friendly when he is out looking for an old, run down town for his new movie and gets busted for speeding, resisting an officer and disorderly conduct. Tory Ashton is the towns fill in Sheriff and with her attorney background, is not about to be pushed around by a handsome Hollywood director.
I thought the story went way to fast and there wasn't much romantic tension between the two main characters. I felt much of the dialogue kept repeating itself between the two characters and got old real fast. I didn't feel the characters were very strong or well defined. Tory, supposedly this independent, strong woman acted more like a 16 year old. There was a lot of potential with the other characters in the book, but just didn't pan out. I love Nora Roberts books, but this wasn't one of my favorites. 2 stars

I'm just starting

I'm also listening to a couple audiobooks:

Makes me yearn for a Lori Foster oldie.

There are roughed and rushed parts here and there in the 3 books out, but still pretty decent. :D

Just finished Alex (Book #1 of the Cold Fury Hockey series). WOW. LOVED THIS! 5 Stars. If you're a crier, you'll want tissues nearby just in case.

I have the next in my To Buy list on Amazon. I really liked Garrett from the 1st book. At first I was suspicious and wondered if he had ulterior motives but so glad it worked out like it did.

Cora Seton's "Brides of Chance Creek" series is SO GOOD. Just finished the 3rd book (the 4th to be released mid-November) and it just keeps getting better and better.
Plan on trying out her cowboy series since I'm liking this one so much. There's an omnibus with stories 0, 1 and 2 for free if anyone else interested.
Link to it on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Cowboys-Chance...

It is free so still give it a go and see if you like it better than I did. And I still recommend her Bride of Chance Creek series despite it all :)

Another fantastic mystery w/romance
My Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Andrea is trying to keep her job as a reporter and has been given an assignment to prove herself by covering her magazine's Man of the Year, Alexander Donovan. A self made millionaire, handsome and very secretive. Alex is living the dream and Andrea is going to try to get some dirt on the man. What she gets is a soft heart, attraction and falling in love. She is torn between seeking and reporting the truth, or being loyal and compassionate to Alex. The book was very predictable with twists and turn at times. A cute read. 4 stars

Nicole and Ryan have been in love for what seems like forever. There dreams of the perfect life and family were smashed when their adopted son Brandon was diagnosed with autism. Brandon started out as a normal baby and little boy and then suddenly withdrew into his own world. Nicole spent every second of hers and Brandon's days looking for more cures, doctors and therapies, determined to get her little boy back. Her obsession and disillusionment pushed Ryan out of their world. Ryan and Nicole's love has faltered and now they are separated and to the point of divorce. Now Brandon is missing and could possibly be kidnapped and Ryan and Nicole are now brought together as a team to find their son. What they find in this hunt for him is full of lies and secrets. This was such an endearing book of love, forgiveness, family, suspense, surprises and miracles. It was a hard book to put down. I really enjoyed how they brought the characters from her other series of Angels Bay into the story. I have loved this series so much. Seems like each book gets better and better. I would give this book more than 5 stars if I could. Excellent romance, drama.

I finished Unforgivable by Laura Griffin, Tracers #3, and it's my favorite to date. Here's my review.
I'm now reading First You Run by Roxanne St. Claire, Bullet Catchers #4.

I finished The Wicked Duke by Madeline Hunter this evening and it is excellent. The entire trilogy is really good and I highly recommend it.
I'm also listening to The Magnolia Story by Chip and Joanna Gaines. They are reading it and so far it is really good! I love the show Fixer Upper though so that's probably contributing to my enjoyment of this book.

Thank you. I'm excited to see how it does. It's only a beginning book and I wrote it a few years ago. It's my first one, so I'll see how it goes.

Thank you. It's called Sorrow's End

Aww, Thank you. It's my beginning novel. Hope you enjoy it. I'm still growing as a writer. It means a lot.

Thank you! I wrote this a few years ago and it may not be the best, but I'm proud of it as a first novel. I'm always improving. It's called Sorrow's End.

Not much unfortunately. But for this one, I'd rather read it anyways. I have plans for this that include either pizza or a bag of Dove Peanut Butter chocolate. Hahaha. Book date night. lol.
