I'm reading
by Vicki Lewis Thompson. I love this series. Humor, sex and suspense. I wish I could find more like it. Sadly, authors who can write this genre are few and far between.
Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas. Just started in paperback. Finished 02/20Evie, the shiest wallflower out of the group who has been abused for years by her family has decided she can't take it any longer and runs to the egotistic rake Sebastian, Lord St. Vincent to ask him to marry her and make it that her family no longer can hurt her. Of course it would be a marriage of convenience. Evie's father is dying and she want Sebastian to take her to him to be with him until the end. Arriving at the gaming club, they find it in disarray and after her father dies, Sebastian begins to make the club better. In doing this, he makes enemies, and now his life and Evie's is in danger. Evie has become more calm and self assured and has no problem standing up to Sebastian and makes a deal with him that if he can stay celibate for 3 months she will come to his bed. With Sebastian's extreme sexual appetite, this is quite a quest. Especially when Sebastian is no longer interested in other woman to satisfy this appetite, but only wants Evie. I loved this emotional, sexual cat and mouse game. It was a great mystery to read of who is who and who are the good guys and the bad guys. I feel the books should be read in order as I hadn't read the second so I missed some of the story line. I can't wait to read the rest of the series. It's so much fun!! 4 stars
I wanted to try it. Glad to hear it's good so far. Let us know how it goes!!Sheery wrote: "I'm reading

Trying to get through Bay of Sighs. I don't know why but lately it seems as though I'm reading the same dialogue over and over in her last batch of books. Basic and repetitive. I'm so sad about it because I love Nora so much!
I had the same problem with the last few trilogies. I'm done with them, especially since NR has stated that she is heading into urban fantasy land. I'll still read the romantic-suspense books. they are still really good.
I finished reading Whisper of Warning by Laura Griffin, The Glass Sisters #2, and was pleasantly surprised! Here's my review.
I finished listening to Boundary Waters by William Kent Krueger, Iron Lake #2, and loved the story and narration. I'm glad I switched to audio. Here's my review.
I'm now reading Bitter Moon by Alexandra Sokoloff, The Huntress/FBI #4, and listening to Echo Park by Michael Connelly, Harry Bosch Universe #15.

I had to take
back to the library before I finished it because there were people waiting on hold for it. I immediately put my name on the hold list to get it again though because it was good and intriguing.
Now I'm reading
and liking it a lot so far. I imagine I will continue to like it though as this is my favorite book series.

One True Love by Barbara Freethy on KindleNick and Lisa have been divorced for 8 years following the death of their infant daughter Robin. Although she died of SIDS, they both have so much anger, blame and heartache, it's best to stay far away from each other. Nick's sister Maggie is a new widow and is having a melt down at home with her family and life. She needs to get away and breaks down and asks Lisa to come and care for her children and home so she can get away. Lisa is an important member of her new fiancé's advertising company, but she can't say no to her friend, especially after ignoring her and the rest of her family for years. Nick and Lisa seeing each other could be ammo for disaster. Maggie is now on a hunt for a woman that sent an intimate letter to her late husband. The story and characters is so strong and well defined. You feel like you are right in the midst of all this emotion, drama and chaos. I really loved the book. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I felt it got too drawn out and I felt a bit bored in the middle and found myself just scanning over parts. All in all, another great book by Barbara Freethy.
Just started
by Elizabeth Bemis on Kindle. Finished 02/20
I was asked by the author to review this book. A story of transformations. Jane is very over weight and her doctor is concerned for her health and suggests she have an operation for stomach reduction. Jane has always been self conscious and has put up with ridicule since her school days. She operates the local bakery, which doesn't help her weight situation but she loves her work and is great at it. Her high school crush, Cade is now a big country western star and comes back to do a benefit for the local community. They start up their friendship from high school. After Cade and his group leave town, Jane finds herself corresponding with who she thinks is Cade's road manager Scott but it was Cade all along. Cade likes the fact that Jane isn't the usual groupie, but actually cares about Cade as the man. When Cade returns to Sudden Falls for some much needed time off, they start up an even a closer friendship. Jane knows that Cade would never care for a girl like her, but she can fantasize and dream. Cade is afraid to tell Jane about the emails as he doesn't want to hurt her or embarrass her. This is beautiful love story where two people are not only finding themselves but finding each other. I am also over weight and would have liked the story to have shown that Cade would have fallen for Jane EVEN if she was still overweight. It was a very inspirational story. I liked how she wrote from each one's perspective thought out the book. I look forward to some of the other stories in this series. 4 stars

I'm only reading Nora right now because I'm on a Nora kick. I just read Inn Boonsboro by Nora Roberts and found out it's an actual Inn that she owns, and most of the shops mentioned throughout are also real. Guess I'm gonna have to go and book a room since I live close to there. Before that, I read The Donovan Legacy Collection, The Gallaghers of Ardmore Trilogy, and In the Garden Trilogy.
I am now reading The Obsession by Nora Roberts.
I guess before all of that, in January, I was reading The Winter Witch by Paula Brackston
