I've reread just over half of Kindred. Butler always transports me! Next up might be Black Flags: The Rise of ISIS.

Today I received Visitor (Foreigner #17), the most recent novel in CJ Cherryh's Foreigner series! It will be my next read after I finish book 3 of her Chanur Saga.
Rob wrote: "I finished reading The Black Lung Captain and really enjoyed it. (My Review)I read The Black Lung Captain a few years ago and remember enjoying it a lot. I've been putting off the sequel for too long but I'm afraid I've forgotten too much!
Currently reading Archivist Wasp a dystopian-fantasy that's been getting some good reviews.
Having an incredibly bittersweet time reading the last book in the Chronicles of the Unhewn Throne trilogy by Brian Staveley.
I finished A Darker Shade of Magic and liked, but didn't love it (My Review). I'll likely continue to the second book at some point.
AT the recommendation of one of the authors at Norwescon, I am reading "The Lies of Locke Lamoure." and I am not impressed. Just another book about how some orphaned kid finds himself as an uber thief and pulls himself out of squalor by stealing from the rich. I have read it before and it is not really a fresh take on the theme.
After reading 20% of Black Flags: The Rise of ISIS I put it aside. I've just got too many library and other books to read right now. I hope to get back to it. This weekend I read and finished Temple Grandin: How the Girl Who Loved Cows Embraced Autism and Changed the World, The Young Man and the Sea, and Chasing Lincoln's Killer.I'm currently reading and really liking Shadowshaper by Daniel José Older.
Finishing up Surface Detail today (on Audible). My third Culture novel. I get the feeling I should have had a couple more under my belt before attempting it. It's amusing but I'm missing a few "inside" items I think might have helped my enjoyment. Probably will reread some day after I've read a few more Culture novels.Just started Beauty Is a Wound which is an strange book, but strangely intriguing. Also reading Where Late the Sweet Birds Sang.
I just finished the second book in the Dagger and the Coin series by Daniel Abraham. I’m enjoying this series quite a bit, and I just started the third book this evening. Here are my reviews for the first two:
Book 1
Book 2
I'm reading the Queen's poisoner. Will be doing a review on BookTube. Should be interesting xD. Excited to get onto the next book!
S.B wrote: "I'm reading the Queen's poisoner. Will be doing a review on BookTube. Should be interesting xD. Excited to get onto the next book!"How are you liking it? I got it as Kindle First pick last month and, as always with these Kindle free acquisitions, worry about whether it is any good or not.
I recently finished Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits by David Wong and thought it was fun. Now I'm reading A Darker Shade of Magic. It's still early but so far I'm liking it.
I have just started Ready Player One! I've heard good things about it so I'm looking forward to getting stuck into it! :)
Here is my review of The dreaming void which is the 1st book in Void trilogy. Spoiler alert regarding the review.
I just finished Who Fears Death and am now reading City of Bones, while also reading a couple graphic novels and comic collections.
Sarah Anne wrote: "I'm finally biting the bullet and reading The Dragon's Path."I liked that book but never got around to the sequels.
Sarah Anne wrote: "I'm finally biting the bullet and reading The Dragon's Path."I just finished the final book of that series. I really enjoyed it. Have you read his Long Price Quartet already?
I read the first. I loved the world building but the story was blah to me. However, I completely fell in love with the Black Sun's Daughter series that he wrote as M.L.N. Hanover.
Rob wrote: "I haven't read Black Sun."I feel sorry for you. ;) I'm not even a fan of Urban Fantasy and I just got hugely addicted to that one.
I started Ballard's The Crystal World a SciFi, the last of his environmental catastrophe quartet. This one is more Sci-Fi than Cli-Fi.
I am reading The City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin. I got an ARC from Netgalley. This is the conclusion to the Passage trilogy and I am about 1/3 done with it. So far it is fantastic. I really love his writing style, he reminds me a lot of Stephen King, he is so discriptive and he gives so much back story to every character so you really feel like you know them and their motivations. This book will be out on May 24 2016. It is great so far.
I'm about halfway through The Heir of Night
by Helen Lowe and really enjoying it so far!I also started Dirty Magic
by Jaye Wells. This one is off to a good start too.
Sterling wrote: "I am reading The City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin. I got an ARC from Netgalley. This is the conclusion to the Passage trilogy and I am about 1/3 done with it. So far it is fantastic..."I am so looking forward to that one!!! It has been a long wait.
Poor Man's FightTop recommendation for the audiobook listening military space opera crew. It was a strong 4 as a book as a whole but despite the limited number of voices I loved the audiobook of it and gave it a 5. This book really surprised me and I have already jumped on the second book.
Cephrael's Hand by Melissa McPhail....picked up on a whim after seeing an add on Facebook, only 15% in but I'm already hooked.
I'm currently reading Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire and Mr. Splitfoot by Samantha Hunt--I really like both of them so far. Next up I think will be Through the Woods by Emily Carroll
Nicki I would definitely recommend reading The Twelve if you have not read it. It is really good. It has been so long since I had read The Twelve I had to go back to it to refresh my memory of what took place before I started The City of Mirrors. I would really recommend refreshing your memory of The Passage as well. I am so glad The City of Mirrors is finally coming out. It really is great. I had forgotten how much I like Cronins writing style.
I get to enjoy myself with a nice creepy read next. Stallo, which was published under the unfortunate title The Shapeshifters in English. Stallo is so much more awesome and I think it actually means Troll but I'm not sure.
YouKneeK wrote: "I just finished the second book in the Dagger and the Coin series by Daniel Abraham. I’m enjoying this series more and more the further I get into it.
My review of book 3.
I'm currently reading The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins and listening to The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov.
