Yearly challenge question.40-42 the trilogy
Do they HAVE to be from the SAME trilogy? I have a few works in progress that I am anxiously waiting on 2 or 3.
I'm making my plan!!!
9. A book at the bottom of your “to-read” pile? but in my pile is adult so i have to look the next one but its in place 29 thats ok?
I have a question about the first point: 1. A book published this year
I'm from Italy: the book has to be published this year in US or in Italy? Because some books that have been published in US years ago, will be published in Italy this year.

Interesting question. I didn't think of that. It doesn't state either way so you can choose. It is often easier to have book 1, book 2 and book 3 from the same trilogy. But if you have book 1 from 1 trilogy, book 2 from another trilogy and book 3 from another trilogy that will work too :) just make sure they are trilogies.

As long as it is listed 2016 on goodreads - that will be easier for me to see.

I purposely didn't read Never Never Part 2 because I really didn't want to have to wait for Part 3. Self control!
43. A book set in the future? maybe someone can give me some ideas from wich books can i read for this one,and for 14. A book that was made into a movie? can be any book or has to be a na book?

As New Adult is a new genre some of these categories will be hard to fit an NA book to them. Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover will be a movie. But some people may have already read it. Leave this category for a while and we will see whether any member have some good ideas, if not we can tweak the rules (include Upper YA) for these 2 categories.
Maybe even
Some are YA but on the later stage of YA (17 years old) this should help both the movie and future books.

ok thank you i will wait meanwhile i have pleanty in my list to start with those
Are we allowed to use the books we have from our monthly challenges as well as the yearly challenge? And thank you Dee for choosing my book for #51. :)
Yes please participate :)Yes you can use the same book for both challenges. Just not allowed to use a book twice in the one challenge. Choosing a book for you was not a problem, it is fun looking through other shelves and looking at books I haven't seen and ones to remind me I still have to read others
Hi everyone I had a great question and wanted to clarify for the group - What kind of book are we supposed to look for for a book we learned about because of the challenge? The learnt about book is one someone else has posted and thus it is something you didn't know about before you started the challenge. Books that are more than 10 years old - just needs to be a book published 10 + years ago.
Ok a few questions. How do you post the book cover pics next to the yearly challenge line items? I just can't figure this out. Also, are the Outlander books considered NA or too historical? Where do you look to see what's considered NA? I don't read catergory specific but don't want to list something that won't work.

What about While It lasts as a movie in the making. Or even cough, Nicholas Sparks books??
Books must be New Adult so they are the time period between high school and adult. So college age. It is often difficult to know with some books but usually it states new adult in the genre section on the each individual book page. Though sometimes that isn't always a guarantee either. Have a look on the booklists section for ideas. Outlander and most Nicholas Sparks books are classed as adult books.
If you like Nicholas Sparks, in The Longest Ride the female main character is still in college so that might work, also its a great book so give it a go anyway :)I'm struggling with the book with no colour on the cover. Any suggestions?
Best Sellers ListsHere are some I found. I can make it uniform if you want and we all have to choose from the same list. Or would you like to choose your own list?

Does Graysons Vow by Mia Sheridan count as a book with no colour on the cover because it's only the title that is red?
Lauren-marie wrote: "Does Graysons Vow by Mia Sheridan count as a book with no colour on the cover because it's only the title that is red?"#32 I was looking at that over the weekend as I had 2 books with coloured writing but black/white backgrounds and I didn't use them. After looking at those who have already done this category I have found many without coloured writing so try one of those instead.

Ooo I actually have some of these on my kindle that I haven't read. Thanks.
Also what do you mean exactly by female heroine?
Lauren-marie wrote: "Dee wrote: "Lauren-marie wrote: "Does Graysons Vow by Mia Sheridan count as a book with no colour on the cover because it's only the title that is red?"#32 I was looking at that over the weekend ..."
Female heroine would be a female hero so someone that saves the day - dictionary.com states a female heroine as "a woman of distinguished courage or ability, admired for her brave deeds and noble qualities." Does that help?

Yes I think it sort of does. Would the Sweet gum Tree fit that category maybe? If not can you recommend some please?

Yes it can be looked at two ways either save the day heroine as with many paranormal books or overcoming adversity as with many contemporary books.
For this item on the yearly challenge: A book that was free I have a book that I won in a challenge, would that count?
Mercedes wrote: "For this item on the yearly challenge: A book that was free I have a book that I won in a challenge, would that count?"Yep use it :)
Super excited about winning in January! I was looking at the points discussion and saw my name. I haven't seen an email about the surprise ebook, but no rush. Yay!
Mercedes wrote: "Could
count for the yearly challenge "14. A book that was made into a movie""I have had a look at everyone else's categories and whether anyone has managed to find many movies from NA books and other than Fifty Shades and Maybe Someday there aren't many and if you are like me I have read both so I am opening #14 to any book that has been made into a movie so it can be adult or young adult. There are heaps of options for both. So if that book is a movie you can use it :)

Woohoo! Thanks :)
The March challenge includes "a book with a leprechaun "... I was wondering if I could use a book that the main character gets compared to a leprechaun.
Lauren-marie wrote: "Can
be used as a book with a red cover? It's not bright red but sort of red :)"That cover doesn't look that red on my screen. Do you have another book with a red cover you could use or would you like some suggestions?
Maureen wrote: "The March challenge includes "a book with a leprechaun "... I was wondering if I could use a book that the main character gets compared to a leprechaun."Yes that sounds fine :)
Hi sorry to butt in. I was bored and looking around and fell onto this. Lauren-Marie, I scanned through my NA bookshelf and found the following, plus added comments.
Some of these, Dee, your opinion as head of this challenge is obviously needed since I'm not sure how strict you are with the coloring.
Guys, look around at all the NA books you've read. There's one common theme in almost every cover: BLUE. Wow there are a ton of blue themed NA books. White/pale and black/grey/dark are also popular, so red and yellow I can see why it's hard
RED:
Fab book. One of my favs. First in a series. It's a must read if you haven't.
Written by a friend. It's red/pink. Cute read.
I have so much I could say about this I just don't have words. If you have yet to read this one, CHOOSE THIS ONE. Has some black but I figure it could count as a red cover (Dee?)
This is the 7th in a series so unless you've read the rest you won't want to choose it, but I figured id still mention it. Who knows maybe you have. The series is YA, but she's in college in this one so it kinda flips to NA then. YELLOW:
Second in a series but it's a standalone and its very good. Most of her books are if youve never read any.
This novel is pretty hot. It's good thoughQUESTIONABLE:
Yellow:
This is sad and adorable. It's yellow-ishRed:
An example of the blue! It's a blue cover but with a large spot of red so...
Great series of standalones that connect through the characters.
This one's interesting actually. Its a mix of red, yellow and orange so I dont know if it counts and what for
Hope this helps
Thanks Micheala, those are great ideas. I would say Wicked would go in the blue cover though, not red. Some others include:
RED -
YELLOW -
Is any one else struggling to find authors with their initials that are New Adult writers? I have found 2 authors wit my initials but neither are New Adult.
I was as I didn't really know where or how to look for this but then came across an author when looking at the line up for a book signing I'm going to :)
In regards to a book currently on the best sellers list would The Fire between High and Lo by Brittainy C Cherry count? It's on the amazon top 100 best sellers list on romance at the moment.
I have attached a link to see if this list can be used.
