Mercedes | 257 comments I'm wondering if Hockey Is My Boyfriend (Part One) by Melanie Ting is blue enough to count as 30. A book with a blue cover?

And I'm wondering if Sugar Daddy (Sugar Bowl, #1) by Sawyer Bennett Sugar Rush (Sugar Bowl, #2) by Sawyer Bennett Sugar Free (Sugar Bowl, #3) by Sawyer Bennett would count as NA? She's 25 in school for her Master's but I think he's closer to 29 *hides* maybe they can squeeze into that NA category?? It's the first serious relationship for either.

I would say the blue cover would have to have more blue, but after looking at some of the other members it should be fine.

I am checking up on that series as I have not read it. I will let you know when I find out. Although if it is a possible NA but its not clear I have told others just to write a sentence to describe why you believe it is NA and it should be fine.

Lauren-marie Just checking this can be used as a yellow cover?

I wouldn't consider that a yellow cover. I gave these suggestions in a post earlier. Can you use any of these?

Hanne | 758 comments 20. A book set in the winter , does the whole book need to happen in the winter? Or is about 70% of the book enough and when they celebrate Christmas and New Year?

Dee | 851 comments Hanne wrote: " 20. A book set in the winter , does the whole book need to happen in the winter? Or is about 70% of the book enough and when they celebrate Christmas and New Year?"

The majority of the book should be in winter. Depending on where the book is set will depend whether Christmas and New Year are during this time eg if it's Australia Christmas time is not during winter so that won't work. I used Frigid (Frigid, #1) by J. Lynn for my winter book.

I was thinking to use Ladies Man. I used in the July month challenge. It takes place in Chicago. They mention the cold outside and warm clothes multiple times. About 60% of the book takes place in the winter and they celebrate New Year twice.. So can I use it or find another one?

Dee | 851 comments Sounds good to me

message 110: by Julie (new)

Julie | 95 comments Does anyone have a recommendation of a NA author with the initials JK? Also, I'm sorry if I overlooked the answer to this, but I'd like to know about using the initial of my maiden name if I can't find a JK. Using my maiden name, I'd be JS and could use Jessica Sorensen. Thanks!

Hi Julie, that's fine to use your maiden name - I can't even do that mine is the same lol
- Undecided (Burnham College #1) by Julianna Keyes. She has a couple fo books but I didn't check if they were all New Adult. This one says it is though.
- Julie Kagawa is Young Adult :(

Leslie | 37 comments Anyone read It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover ...think it could be ur for the yearly challenge for based on a true story? Also Dee would you mind picking a book for me for the yearly challenge?

I haven't read it. I didn't realise it was based on a true story. Where did you read that?

#51 - Dirty English (English, #1) by Ilsa Madden-Mills

Great choice! Thanks! Excited to read that!

There is a part in the end where the author talks about why she wrote the book and how it related to her life. I don't want to give anything away but I won't use it unless I get the o.k. :) Fantastic book though!

Just finished It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover yesterday and absolutely loved it! Totally different from all her other books. It's in her * Note from the Author that Colleen Hoover writes that this book is from a personal experience. So, I would agree that it is "based on a true story". My suggestion...do not read any reviews because alot contain spoilers....go in blind and read her personal note at the end. That's the advice I got, took and glad I did. This book made me laugh, cry, & cheer. You will fall in love with every character. I highly recommend this book...every NA lover and Colleen Hoover fan should read it!

Yes, very different! I ran the whole gambit of emotions on this one!

message 118: by Julie (new)

Julie | 95 comments I just finished a book that I'm not sure how to classify as far as YA, NA or adult. It is told from 5 points of view, but the the ages of the characters range from 16 to 30. This is a dystopian story, so the 16 year olds are definitely not living the lives of typical YAs. I read the reviews, and the ones that mention this refer to the 16 year old MC as half boy, half man...which sums it up perfectly in my opinion. Because of this, I feel like Simon's character, even though 16, falls more into NA than YA. Anyway, here's the book: What Boys Are Made Of. Would you take a look and let me know what you think?

If this counts as NA, I highly recommend this story. It isn't romance, so if you are looking for something different, I'd give it a try.

Some books have characters still at school like Bully by Penelope Douglas but are classified as NA books. There aren't enough reviews to see much more than you have said so I think it is fine to use.

message 120: by Lauren-marie (new)

Lauren-marie Has anyone read Desperately Seeking Epic by BN Toler?
Desperately Seeking Epic by B.N. Toler
If so would you class it as NewAdult? On goodreads it is listed on the side of the page that it is new adult but I'm not too sure. Do you think I can use this for the yearly challenge?

message 121: by Lauren-marie (new)

Lauren-marie Is there a list of this years previous non-contemporary group reads? I'm sure I have seen one before but now I want it, I can't seem to find it. I'm looking for it to see what I can use for the Yearly challenge. Thanks in advance :)

The non-contemporary are the second book in the list.

Dee | 851 comments Adri wrote: "Hi, I was organizing my reading plan on the challenge and was wondering if Hopeless, Losing Hope and Finding Cinderella by Colleen Hoover count as a trilogy or not?"

This is not classed as a trilogy. Finding Cinderella is a novella.

Kat J (katjphoenix) | 378 comments is it to late to start on this challenge if i go back and check all the books i've read? it definitely sounds like an extremely interesting challenge and I will prob do the 2017 if there is one

message 125: by Dee (new)

Dee | 851 comments Of course you can join. Just make sure books chosen are new adult unless stated otherwise and they are over 120 pages in length. I will choose a book for you later today.

#51 - Sweet Nothing by Jamie McGuire and Teresa Mummert

Kat J (katjphoenix) | 378 comments Sorry another question - does Wattpad books count towards this challenge? I found the site almost at the end of last year, and I am so hooked on it. Going thru this year's GR challenge books, I realise so many of my books are from the site.

message 128: by Dee (new)

Dee | 851 comments I assume so, just ensure it meets the criteria of New Adult and over 120 pages. It is just a site to view books right?

I guess it would be more past since they found the letter and then there would be a whole cycle again. I haven't read the second one yet.
