Julia ♡ Sarcasm and Romance Addict ♡ | 176 comments I'm looking for some hetero romances of any genre/type, where the main love interests have no major miscommunications between them (e.g. thinking one of them cheated when they didn't), second chances (e.g. leaving for a decade and then re-uniting), or just angst in general. The hardcore angst I've been reading in romances have been bumming me out.

I'd like to read something where the tension comes from the plot, not each other, if that makes sense.

The only one I can think of really is Alpha & Omega by Patricia Briggs.
If you don't really know any I'd love to hear your favourite romance anyway to give it a shot.

Ashley | 0 comments Suddenly Royal came to mind right away. A lighter romance with a very cute leading couple.

C. | 217 comments Hi Bbhook, I feel exactly the same way as you do 'bummed out' with those plots, and angst-filled romances! I prefer a clean, sweet, lighthearted, fun-filled journey ,on the path of love, like the one my late husband and I enjoyed. I also dislike the insta-love in so many, where either the H or h is thinking of marriage the same day they meet!

So here are some of my favorites, starting with my newer favorite of all time romance read, that is nonfiction to boot! An absolute blast to read~ The Pioneer Woman Black Heels to Tractor Wheels by Ree Drummond

then~ This Matter of Marriage by Debbie Macomber

~ The Highwayman of Tanglewood by Marcia Lynn McClure

~ Mrs. Drew Plays Her Hand by Carla Kelly

~ Texas Cooking (Texas Hill Country #1) by Lisa Wingate

Over the Moon at the Big Lizard Diner (Texas Hill Country #3) by Lisa Wingate

Lady Fiasco (Regency Trilogy, #1) by Kathleen Baldwin

It Had to Be You by Linda Windsor

Love Me Tender by Janice Hanna

Just Ella by Annette K. Larsen

C. | 217 comments There needs to be a category just for~ "sweet -no- angst romances", for readers like us who are weary of all the ANSGT, and ridiculous book-long misunderstandings/distrust-ect!

Sheesh you have to be invited to join, and can't even look to see if they have more than 5 books on their bookshelves!

Sara Evans King of Hearts (Hearts, #3) by L.H. Cosway : there is no jealosy in this one & i personally loved the plot.

Still Life with Strings by L.H. Cosway : No exes, jealousy etc. Plus the hero in this is one of my favourite; NOT a player/alpha/smirking-know-it-all & he is a violinist!! I didn't know violins was hot until i read this xD

Jenna | 581 comments A Civil Contract by Georgette Heyer. There is a jealous ex-love interest, but heroine knows about her. There may small misunderstandings, but it does not drive plot -- actually Hero and heroine are pretty open -- it's what I like, there is no angst and drama -- just a lslowly developing relationship over time.

Anna | 505 comments Radiance: at the beginning of the book H/h are forced to marry in order to seal the treaty between their two kingdoms. They consider one another ugly (they originate from different races, heroine is human while Hero is described somewhat wolf-ish) but they try from the beginning to make the best of their marriage. There are no miscommunication problems, no angst and moreover no insta-love between them. We can watch as they slowly grow to love each other despite their differences and it happens in a totally believable way.

Sharni (sharnibee) | 64 comments Have you tried The Silver Linings Playbook its not primarily a love story (it's more of a life story) - but its pretty amazing (and not like the movie - lets just pretend the movie didn't happen) but the two main characters compliment each other beautifully.

Julia ♡ Sarcasm and Romance Addict ♡ | 176 comments I am loving these suggestions so far, thanks everyone! They're all on my to-read list. Totally what I needed after so much angst.

Also just finished The Hurricane series. There's only one tiny miscommunication in both books, and it's resolved so quickly (1 page? 2 pages?) because they actually talk right away and fix things. Good stuff, some heavy angst because of subject matter in it though.
