Group Reading Map (2016)

Sorry for the confusion.
You noted my recent add as Area X, but the title of the book is Annihilation. The location should be noted as: Area X,Southern Reach.
The star appears on Key West..."
Oh! I'm sorry, Stacey. I confused myself. I thought you read "Area X" which is the entire trilogy in one book. I've changed it. Is that more what you had in mind for the star?

Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe - El Paso, Texas
Rebecca - Monte Carlo and Manderley (house in southern England)
I don't know if you're including books from other challenges, but in case you are:
The Witches - Bournemouth, UK and partly in Norway
Just a thought, and it's probably way too late to incorporate this, but I wonder if it would also make sense to collect when each book was set. Maybe a timeline, in addition to the map? I wouldn't have any idea how to do that though.

Toronto, Canada
H is for Hawk
Cambridge, England
Grey
Seattle, USA
Heart of Darkness
Congo River, Africa
The Girl with All the Gifts
Somewhere outside London, England
The Heart Goes Last
Consilience (made up town) on East Coast, USA (I don't think it's more specific)

Please only include your books for the 2016 ATY Challenge.
As you can see, this is a huge project with just the books from the ATY Challenge. It would be much too difficult to map everyone's books for every challenge. Since our group is the ATY group, we're just going to focus on that. :)
As for the years. that is may be something we can consider for next year. But I think you're right about it being difficult to do at this point. But it's a nice idea! :)
At work so I'll get to these when I'm able. Thanks guys!

1751 Highlands, Scotland
More specifically, this map shows the path of the main character's journey: http://www.stevensonway.org.uk/overvi...

Primary: Donner Lake near Truckee, CA

Love Medicine by Louise Erdrich
Primary: fictional reservation near Turtle Mountain, ND
Secondary: Fargo, ND

I suppose Cambridge, England is the primary location...since the novel starts there....
but there are scenes in London...specifically at the British Museum and Penge, England (a suburb of London).... and also Athens, Greece.

A French farmhouse know as Pistoulet in Southwestern France between the Field of Echoes and the Hill of Forgotten Dreams and northeast of the Pyrennes and near the rive les Pensee.

San Jose Mine (Mina San Jose) outside of Copiapo, Chile

Alaskan Wilderness near Fort Yukon north of the Artic Circle and the Porcupine River

Primary:
Montana, USA
Secondary:
Portland, USA
Missoula, USA
Guys, I have a question!
I'm not from US or UK, so I don't know exactly what is "primary" or "secondary". I think "primary" is not the first place that is shown in the book, but the most important one.
Is it right?
Stephanie, Emm will tell you when she adds your book :)
Babitix, Yes, it is the location that is most important or the location where most of the book takes places. For instance, if the character lives in one place but takes a vacation for a few chapter then the first location would be primary.

I have trouble putting a primary location for this book since he traveled the world.
One part of the story is mainly in Sweden but still multiple locations in Sweden. I guess the story starts in Malmköping where he climbs out of the window.

Tolstoy mentions the "Town of K..." in Russia...as the primary place..but much of the story also takes place in the nearby town of Morozovka, Russia.

Why We Broke Up - United States, doesn't seem to give anything more specific
Attachments - Nebraska. I'm pretty sure it specified somewhere, but I can't find it now. I keeping wanting to say Lincoln, but I know it's not that

Primary: Sosnowiec, Poland
Secondary: Auschwitz, Poland

India
2. A Christmas Escape by Anne Perry
Island of Stromboli, Italy
3. Fifth Avenue, 5AM:: Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's by Sam Wasson
NYC, USA
4. Love from Paddington by Michael Bond
London, England

Primary location : Micklegate, York YO1 6JG, England
Secondary location: London, England ... Specifically Mincing Lane EC3R 7AE

Ray Bradbury was apparently intentionally vague about the setting of this one - it could be Anytown USA, apparently.

Primary: This is a tricky one. The book is set in this little town called Hannah Lake, PA. USA. But I couldn't actually find it in the map. It was supposed to be like 100km from the flight crashing site on 9/11. Maybe is somewhere around Shanksville or Indian Lake. =/
Secondary: Iraq
