Edit: Found out about Lionel Shriver's personal politics and terrible speech about cultural appropriation at the Brisbane Writers Festival in 2016. No longer interested in reading her book, so I'm giving it away and removing it from my Goodreads shelves. Sorted my shelf randomly again to find a replacement.
