I think I am doing Anna Karenina instead.

Not January, lol. I have about 15-20 books already. I think doing it over several months is a very good idea.

message 58: by Cassandra (last edited Dec 30, 2015 10:44AM) (new)

Cassandra | 5832 comments Yeah, I'm definitely full for January too. Beyond that, I can do it anytime. We also don't necessarily need to schedule it now if we'd like to wait and see how the year goes. I'm good with anything.

message 59: by Julie (new)

Julie Webb | 135 comments I'm pretty flexible with a little notice to plan. Doing over a long period makes it much more doable. I am in the middle of Don Quixote. It is taking some commitment and I believe it is about 400 pages shorter than War and Peace. So much reading :)

Zara's Retreat | 2365 comments For those who are wanting to do 'War and Peace' how does March - June sound?

message 61: by Jessa (new)

Jessa (keyapaha16) | 16 comments My phone won't let me reply to your comment, Zara, but January works for me as well! For Miss Peregrine's :)

message 83: by Alison (new)

Alison G. (agriff22) | 1188 comments I'm in for War and Peace too! I just realized I never commented. Also, I noticed a lot of people are planning to read Gone with the Wind this year. Would anyone be interested in a buddy read since its so big? Maybe do it after War and Peace is finished in June??

Are we buddy reading Gone with the Wind, I didn't see a date? Is War and Peace starting in March and running though June? Thanks I just dont want to lose track.

message 89: by Jessa (new)

message 90: by Julie (new)

Julie Webb | 135 comments Jessa wrote: "I was wondering about Miss Peregrine's as well, Julie!"

I still would like to read it but I bought it, so it really won't kill me to wait to schedule it next month. It isn't the longest book in world though so we could still do it in January. What do you think?

message 91: by Jessa (new)

Jessa (keyapaha16) | 16 comments Flipping through the it, it didn't look like it would be a difficult read. I'm still game for January. :)

message 92: by Winter, Group Reads (new)

Winter (winter9) | 4998 comments The suggestion for Gone with the Wind where after War and peace I think.

message 94: by Kady (last edited Jan 09, 2016 05:24PM) (new)

Kady (kadyevans) I will definitely join in on War and Peace for March-June. That sounds perfect.

Thinking ahead: Anyone want to do a buddy read for February? I've been meaning to read some David Mitchell (Cloud Atlas, The Bone Clocks) or A Little Life. I love the sound of the Nightingale. Mainly I just want to join whatever else is going on!

message 95: by Caro (last edited Jan 10, 2016 01:08PM) (new)

Caro (karopi) | 995 comments I will like a Little life but in April or after if I OK for you. Also I think it will take two or three months. Long book, tough topic

Gone with the wind will probably be in June. After War and Peace

message 97: by Julie (new)

Julie Webb | 135 comments Thank You for the info guys. I am not sure what happened with Divergent. I don't see a thread and I didn't get a reply. We can just pm each other and break up the pages I guess? Not sure how else to proceed with that one. As for Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children we all still have some time to hear back so I am going to wait to start it for a bit.
