(5* and 3.5*, respectively) THE STRAW MEN will be number 2 on my "best of 2015 list" (yes, I'm already narrowing them down, and the top 2 are in place...) ;)

Char I've been meaning to read those Michael Marshall books for a long, long time now.
I just finished reading The Stones of Muncaster Cathedral: Two Stories of the Supernatural and it was most excellent. (Also very short, so that was nice!)

Also finished Broken Sigil Broken Sigil by William Meikle by William Meikle. Meikle hits another home run in only 50 some pages.

Dipped into one of my Humble Bundle purchases and just finished Parable of the Sower Parable of the Sower (Earthseed, #1) by Octavia E. Butler .

It was very good.

I started the Hellspawn series and finished Hellspawn #1 by Brian Michael Bendis Hellspawn #2 by Brian Michael Bendis & Hellspawn #3 by Brian Michael Bendis .
I also started the Spawn Origins series and have finished the issues for the first volume. Spawn #1 by Todd McFarlane Spawn #2 by Todd McFarlane Spawn #3 by Todd McFarlane Spawn #4 by Todd McFarlane Spawn #5 by Todd McFarlane & Spawn #6 by Todd McFarlane .
I also finished Nausea by Ed Kurtz 4*, The Ape's Wife and Other Stories by Caitlín R. Kiernan 2* (meh), Nailbiter, Vol. 2 Bloody Hands by Joshua Williamson 4* and Burnt Offerings by Robert Marasco 4.5*

So creepy and unsettling, slow burn horror at it's best. :)

Really liked it! That "creepy" feeling never let up. You expect "something" to happen around every corner!

I just finished one called Anatomy of a Haunting: The Nightmare on Baxter Road Anatomy of a Haunting The Nightmare on Baxter Road by Lee Strong by Lee Strong.
It was a great haunted house/ghost story book.
