Yeah, it was only after I finished this book, I saw there were several series. But I think there are more books being added early in the chronological order. How do you remember this trilogy? And the MC, Talia

Wanda (wanda71) Since I am a fourth-generation native Floridian, I will read a book set in Florida and since the hurricane season officially begins on June 1st, this books seems a natural choice.

Dark Needs at Night's Edge (Immortals After Dark, #5) by Kresley Cole by Kresley Cole
Immortals After Dark #5
rad 6/2/14 - 4♥

This time the romance is between a ghost and vampire Conrad Wroth. His brothers trap him in a house to try to get him to control his bloodlust and he meets the resident Ghost, Neomi.

I like this world where all the races live alongside the humans, but usually fight among each other and are not overtly trying to take over the humans. A huge war is brewing and I am curious to see what will happen next and which races will become allies and which will remain mortal enemies. I think it is very interesting that couples are forming from opposing races and Nix is just annoyingly vague although she seems to know what is going to happen.

Donna (donnaburks61) Now...back to the J.D. Robb, In Death series...#5
Ceremony in Death (In Death, #5) by J.D. Robb Ceremony in Death 327 pages/GR

Date: 6/6
Rating: ✮✮✮✮
Review: I really considered giving this one three stars...this is by far my least favorite of this series(although I am far from finished with reading them all) One of the things I love most about this series is watching Eve's thought process work through the crime...and sad to say that was not how this story went. I am not, as a general rule, fond of occult based stories and find the blood and gore aspects a turn off. That may have been my most un-favorite part of this story. There were little things that really clicked for me...Eve and Roarke's relationship takes a small turn in a different direction...and that was most enlightening...and of course the side characters always make these books very entertaining! I felt like Peabody really drew the short stick this time...and even though I don't mind figuring out the "who done it" early in the story...I would have preferred more mystery and less Eve being an idiot. There I have said it...she didn't listen to her gut...she didn't look at the whole picture and see that everything is too perfect...so therefore there is something very wrong here...
OK...my rant is over...and I will put this one in the "bottom ten" of this series and move on!!! ;)

Review:
I'm continuing the series after a long gap. When this book was released I heard raves about it online and it was totally justified. This book blew me away. Irena & Alejandro were a great couple and their arc was very absorbing. Even better, the overall world arc was absolutely fantastic.

I can't believe I waited years to continue this series. While I remembered the overall plot line, I forgot the subtle and the small happenings that happened prior to this book. Though they didn't affect my enjoyment (and I did remember them once I read), I would like to re-read the series from the beginning.

Read: High Five (Stephanie Plum, #5) by Janet Evanovich
date: june 5
rating: 5 stars

well, i am officially hooked on these books! i just finished the movie and this book! this book actually ends in a cliff hanger which left me angry because it i will be a little bit before i can read the next book!

Stephanie is at it again, but this time there are no FTA's. wondering what she is going to do to make ends meet Ranger always comes in and saves the day. She was fighting with him to make sure his jobs were legal and that she wouldn't get arrested for working with him.

Stephanie finds out the the champ is out of jail, and supposedly found Jesus. She is now being stalked by him, and wonders if she is safe or if he is going to try to get her yet again.

this time she is looking for her uncle Fred. he becomes missing and she is spending all her time to find him. As always her snooping turns deadly and more of her cars get blown up, and her grandma always comes to the rescue to get into a little trouble of her own. Now Stephanie realizes that Fred has gotten himself into some trouble and keep unloosing more and more problems that help her with the case, but also make her lots of enemies.

this book is the best so far because Stephanie finds herself in a love triangle having to find out who she wants to be with in the end.

Turtlecollector Dennis I rolled a 9 so we are now on space 64.

We can read #4, #6, #64 in a series. The alternate is a book published in 2011.

Ohhh...this was one of the "best" so far...unfortunately about halfway through I realized I had already read it...but since I couldn't remember who the "bad" guy was...I went ahead and finished it! I was wrong, by the way...it was a "bad" girl!!! LOL This story was very action packed...with lots of "tech" and "sex" moments...once they were even at the same time...don't ask!!! haha I enjoyed it very much...and as always it was great to catch up with all the entertaining characters that Robb has developed during this series!!!

I am setting my phone...so that I remember to post my review by Thursday evening, every week!!!

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) | 7439 comments Well probably have winner this next roll. I listed all of the teams that have shot at winning this Friday. You have to roll past 75 to win and since the board ends at 75, there's a list of alternates for the imaginary number you'd if been on. You can also use the number you'd be on just like we have all throughout the game. In the event multiple teams roll past 75 (which will likely be the case) then the team that finishes first wins.

Another very interesting installment in this series. Caedon has to walk a very fine line between keeping what is his and what he is willing to sacrifice for his goals. When these two things intersect with a potentially deadly outcome, his strategy is ever changing and he tries to do his best for everyone involved. Now I really want to know what is happening with his brother.

A good mystery though Miss Marple only makes an appearance in the last third of the book. I totally didn't predict the who at the end. I do wish Miss Marple was there for the whole book.

Let Me Go (Archie Sheridan & Gretchen Lowell, #6) by Chelsea Cain by Chelsea Cain
Archie Sheridan/Gretchen Lowell #6
read 6/17/14 - 3.5 stars

I really wanted to give this a 4 star rating, but the first half was just too bland after her last 5 books and it seems the characters got stupider. Plus, Gretchen didn't really show up until the last 1/3 of the book and much of the tension involved her. I do really like the premise of this series, though, where the hunted for serial killer has a personal relationship with the lead detective and helps him solve cases even when he doesn't want her to. It is a very different type of mystery series.

In this book, Archie is trying to get his friend out from undercover after the handler gets murdered. Then while helping with that he runs into his old nemesis, Gretchen Lowell and another serial killer to boot. All this is trying to be done without catching the attention of the local drug lord, but that is impossible.

Donna (donnaburks61) SPACE 69: #6 In Death Series...
Vengeance in Death (In Death, #6) by J.D. Robb Vengeance in Death 343 pages/GR ✮✮✮✮

Ugh...don't you hate when you read a book and it is great...but there is so much in it that absolutely made you want to scream..."You have GOT to be kidding me!"...well this book is that book! It was a love/hate relationship clear through it for me! For every pro...there was a con...(Yes, Roarke is always in the Pro column!)...I am thinking that at this point this is my favorite book in the series and I can't even give it five stars...ugh...frustrating to the max! One thing that can always be said about the books in this series...they are never boring...gross, yes...bloody, yes...but never...never boring!

Making some major progress with this series!!! :D
